'Greatly' in the Bible
For I say to you that unless your righteousness greatly surpasses [that] of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter into the kingdom of heaven.
And greatly distressed, each one began to say to him, "{Surely I am not he, am I}, Lord?"
For Herod was afraid of John, [because he] knew him [to be] a righteous and holy man and protected him. And [when he] listened to him, he was greatly perplexed, and [yet] he listened to him gladly.
And it came out, screaming and convulsing [him] greatly, and he became as if [he were] dead, so that most [of them] said, "He has died!"
But she was greatly perplexed at the statement, and was pondering what sort of greeting this might be.
Now Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was happening, and he was greatly perplexed, because it was said by some that John has been raised from the dead,
The one who has the bride is the bridegroom. But the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices {greatly} because of the bridegroom's voice. So this joy of mine is complete.
And all were amazed and greatly perplexed, saying {to one another}, "{What can this mean?}"
For this [reason] my heart was glad and my tongue rejoiced greatly, furthermore also my flesh will live in hope,
greatly annoyed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
Now when both the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these words, they were greatly perplexed concerning them, [as to] what this might be.
And the word of God kept spreading, and the number of disciples in Jerusalem was increasing greatly, and a large number of priests began obeying the faith.
Now while Peter was greatly perplexed within himself [as to] what the vision that he had seen might be, behold, the men who had been sent by Cornelius, having found the house of Simon by asking around, stood at the gate.
And she was doing this for many days. But Paul, becoming greatly annoyed and turning around, said to the spirit, "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!" And it came out {immediately}.
And he brought them up into [his] house [and] set a meal before [them], and rejoiced greatly that he had believed in God with his whole household.
And [when] he wanted to cross over to Achaia, the brothers encouraged [him] [and] wrote to the disciples to welcome him. [When he] arrived, {he} assisted greatly those who had believed through grace.
not boasting {beyond limits} in the labors of others, but having hope [that as] your faith is growing to be enlarged greatly by you according to our assignment,
So then, my beloved and greatly desired brothers, my joy and crown, thus stand firm in the Lord, dear friends.
But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last {you have renewed your concern for me}, for whom also you were thinking, but you had no opportunity [to express it].
saying, "Surely {I will greatly bless} you, and {I will greatly multiply} you."
in which you rejoice greatly, [although] now for a short time, if necessary, you are distressed by various trials,
whom, [although you] have not seen, you love; in whom now you believe, [although you] do not see [him], and you rejoice greatly with joy inexpressible and full of glory,
And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the witnesses to Jesus. And {I was greatly astonished when I saw her}.
