'Learned' in the Bible
Then Herod, when he saw that he had been outwitted by the wise men, flew into a rage. He gave orders to massacre all the male children in and around Bethlehem who were two years old and under, in keeping with the time he had learned from the wise men.
At that time Jesus said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned and revealed them to infants.
In that same hour He rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and the learned and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, because this was Your good pleasure.
It is written in the Prophets: And they will all be taught by God. Everyone who has listened to and learned from the Father comes to Me—
Then a large crowd of the Jews learned He was there. They came not only because of Jesus, but also to see Lazarus the one He had raised from the dead.
When this man had been seized by the Jews and was about to be killed by them, I arrived with my troops and rescued him because I learned that he is a Roman citizen.
After he read it, he asked what province he was from. So when he learned he was from Cilicia,
Now I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause dissensions and obstacles contrary to the doctrine you have learned. Avoid them,
Do what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.
I don’t say this out of need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.
I know both how to have a little, and I know how to have a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being content—whether well fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need.
You learned this from Epaphras, our dearly loved fellow slave. He is a faithful servant of the Messiah on your behalf,
But as for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed. You know those who taught you,
Though He was God’s Son, He learned obedience through what He suffered.
