'Permission' in the Bible
Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh, but no one will be able to raise his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt without your permission.”
I know that the king of Egypt won't give you permission to go, no, not by a mighty hand.
So Balaam got up the next morning and told Balak's officials, "Go back to your homeland, because the LORD has refused me permission to go with you."
