'Psalms' in the Bible
Therefore will I give thanks to thee, Jehovah, among the nations, And will sing psalms to thy name.
Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him; Meditate upon all his wondrous works.
Sing psalms to Jehovah who dwelleth in Zion; tell among the peoples his doings.

and David himself says in the book of Psalms, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand
And he said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you while I was yet with you, that all that is written concerning me in the law of Moses and prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.
For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his homestead become desolate, and let there be no dweller in it; and, Let another take his overseership.
speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and chanting with your heart to the Lord;
Let the word of the Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another, in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God.
Does any one among you suffer evil? let him pray. Is any happy? let him sing psalms.
