'Sits' in the Bible

Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example],Nor stand in the path of sinners,Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers).

He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.

But the Lord sits enthroned forever;He has established His throne for judgment.

Sing [praises] to Yahweh [who] sits [enthroned] in Zion. Tell his deeds among the peoples,

He sits in the lurking places of the villages;In the hiding places he kills the innocent;His eyes stealthily watch for the unfortunate.

The Lord sat enthroned at the flood;the Lord sits enthroned, King forever.

God reigns over the nations,God sits on His holy throne.

God will hear and answer them—Even the one who sits enthroned from of old— Selah.With whom there is no change,And who do not fear God.

Give ear, O shepherd of Israel, [who] leads Joseph like a flock. Shine forth, [you who] sits [enthroned above] the cherubim.

Above the sound of the surging water, and the mighty waves of the sea, the Lord sits enthroned in majesty.

The Lord reigns! The nations tremble. He sits enthroned above the winged angels; the earth shakes.

Who can compare to the Lord our God, who sits on a high throne?
