'Site' in the Bible
Abram passed through the land to the site of Shechem, at the oak of Moreh. At that time the Canaanites were in the land.

The cave is in the field of Machpelah near Mamre, in the land of Canaan. This is the field Abraham purchased from Ephron the Hittite as a burial site.

Jerusalem and the towns of Judah, and its kings, [and] its officials, to make them a site of ruins, a horror, an [object of] hissing, and a curse, as [it is] this day;
And you must not listen to them; serve the king of Babylon and live. Why should this city become a site of ruins?
This is what the Lord says:I will certainly restore the fortunes of Jacob’s tentsand show compassion on his dwellings.Every city will be rebuilt on its mound;every citadel will stand on its proper site.

Also they will take your riches as spoil and plunder your merchandise, and tear down your walls and your pleasant houses, and throw your stones and your timber and the debris [from your city] out in the water.
