'Swears' in the Bible
Or if someone swears rashly to do what is good or evil—concerning anything a person may speak rashly in an oath—without being aware of it, but later recognizes it, he incurs guilt in such an instance.
or finds something lost and lies about it; or swears falsely about any of the sinful things a person may do—
or anything about which he swears falsely. He must restore it in full and add one fifth to it; he must give it to its owner when he is found guilty.
When a man makes a vow to the Lord or swears an oath to put himself under an obligation, he must not break his word; he must do whatever he has promised.
“If a man sins against his neighbor and is made to take an oath [of innocence] and he comes to take the oath before Your altar in this house (temple),
"If a man sin against his neighbor, and an oath is laid on him to cause him to swear, and he comes and swears before your altar in this house;
In whose eyes a reprobate is despised,But who honors those who fear the Lord;He swears to his own hurt and does not change;

It is the same for all. There is one fate for the righteous and for the wicked; for the good, for the clean and for the unclean; for the man who offers sacrifices and for the one who does not sacrifice. As the good man is, so is the sinner; as he who swears an oath is, so is he who is afraid to swear an oath.
The Lord swears an oath by his right hand, by his strong arm: "I will never again give your grain to your enemies as food, and foreigners will not drink your wine, which you worked hard to produce.
Whoever is blessed in the landwill be blessed by the God of truth,and whoever swears in the landwill swear by the God of truth.For the former troubles will be forgottenand hidden from My sight.

"How terrible it will be for you, blind guides! You say, "Whoever swears an oath by the sanctuary is excused, but whoever swears an oath by the gold of the sanctuary must keep his oath.'
Again you say, "Whoever swears an oath by the altar is excused, but whoever swears by the gift that is on it must keep his oath.'
Therefore, the one who swears an oath by the altar swears by it and by everything on it.
The one who swears an oath by the sanctuary swears by it and by the one who lives there.
And the one who swears an oath by heaven swears by God's throne and by the one who sits on it.
