Now when John heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent word by his disciples

Then his disciples came and took the body and buried it; and they went and told Jesus.

Now John's disciples and the Pharisees were fasting. And people came and said to him, "Why do John's disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast?"

They said to him, "The disciples of John fast often and offer prayers, and so do the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours eat and drink."

Then the disciples of John told him about all these things.

Now a discussion arose between some of John's disciples and a Jew over purifying.


And taking him by the right hand, he raised him up; and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong.


Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; get up and make your bed." Immediately he got up.

said with a loud voice, "Stand upright on your feet." And he leaped up and began to walk.

She continued doing this for many days. But Paul was greatly annoyed, and turned and said to the spirit, "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!" And it came out at that very moment.

And when it was day, he called his disciples to himself; and from them he chose twelve, whom he also named apostles:

The next day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee. And he found Philip and said to him, "Follow me."



And when they had entered, they went up to the upper room, where they were staying; Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James.

The names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

Simon, whom he named Peter, and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip, and Bartholomew,

Simon, to whom he gave the name Peter;

He said to them, "Why are you so afraid? Have you no faith?"



But their words seemed to them like idle tales, and they did not believe them.

And while they still did not believe for joy, and marveled, he said to them, "Have you anything here to eat?" They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he took it and ate in their presence. read more.
Then he said to them, "These are my words which I spoke to you, while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalms must be fulfilled." Then he opened their minds, so they could understand the Scriptures.
