But seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be given to you in addition.

There is a difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman is concerned about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy in body and in spirit; but she that is married, is concerned about the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
Take heed to yourself, and to your teaching; continue in them; for by doing this, you will save both yourself, and those who hear you.
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the apostle and high priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,
Peter seeing this one, said to Jesus: Lord, what shall this one do?
For this reason I say to you, Be not anxious for your life, what you shall eat, and what you shall drink; nor for your body, what you shall put on. Is not your life a greater gift than food, and your body than clothing?
but he that is married, is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife.
but let each one prove his own work, and then he will have cause to boast with respect to him self only, and not with respect to another:
fulfill my joy, that you be of the same mind, having the same love, of one soul, of one mind;
Blind Pharisee! first make clean the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside of them also may be clean.
Now, this I say, brethren, the time is fraught with trials. It remains that those who have wives be as though they had them not;
whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.
But I would have you to be without anxiety. The unmarried man is concerned about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
And why do you look at the splinter that is in your brother's eye, but perceive not the beam that is in your own eye?
Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal.
