The things that you have learned, received, heard and saw in me; do these things and the God of peace will be with you.
Do you remember the day you stood in the presence of Jehovah your God at Mount Sinai (Horeb)? He said to me: 'assemble the people. I want them to hear what I have to say, so that they will learn to obey me as long as they live. Then they will teach their children to do the same.'
Moses called all the people of Israel, and said: Hear, O Israel, the regulations and laws I declare to you today. Learn them and obey them!

For I think that God has placed us apostles last as men appointed to death. We are made a spectacle to the world, and to angels, and to men. We are fools for Christ. But you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are honorable, but we are despised. Even to this present hour we both hunger and thirst. We are naked. We are treated badly and we are homeless. We labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it; being slandered, we answer kindly. We are made as the filth of the world and are the refuse of all things to this day. I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved children I warn you. Though you have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers. For in Christ Jesus I have given birth to you through the good news. For this reason I urge you to imitate me.
Be followers (imitators) of me, even as I also am of Christ.
Brothers, be imitators of me. Pay attention to those who live by the example we have given you.
You know what you must do to imitate us. We lived a disciplined life among you. We did not eat anyone's food without paying for it. Instead, we worked hard and struggled night and day in order not to be a burden to any of you. It is not because we do not have the right, but to make ourselves an example for you to imitate us.
But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show righteousness towards their own family, and to repay their parents: for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
Continue in the things you have learned and have been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them.
Give instruction to a wise man and he will become even wiser. Teach a righteous man, and he will increase his learning (insight).
A wise man will hear and will increase learning. A man of understanding will procure wise counsel.
The mind of the prudent acquires knowledge. The ear of the wise one searches for knowledge.
What you have heard from me through many witnesses entrust to faithful people who will be able to teach others as well.
You then who teach another, do you teach yourself? You who preach not to steal, do you steal?
