Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in all things.

Jehovah gives wisdom. From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

Yet if there is an angel on his side as a mediator, one out of a thousand, to tell a man what is right for him,

While I was speaking, in prayer, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before Jehovah my God for the holy mountain of my God; While I was speaking in prayer, the spirit person [who looked like a man] Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, was inspired to come quickly and touch me. He opened their minds that they might understand the scriptures. He said: It is written that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day. Repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

He explained to them all the Scriptures about the things concerning him. He spoke about Moses and all the prophets.

Then they realized it was not the leaven of bread he had in mind. It was the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

It is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, and it has not entered into the heart of man, the things God prepared for those who love him. (Isaiah 64:4) But God revealed them to us by his Spirit. For the Spirit investigates (searches) all things, yes even the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man, except the mental disposition that is in man? Even so no one knows the things of God, but the Spirit of God.read more.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit that is from God. This is so we might know the things that are freely given to us from God. We speak these things, not in the words that man's wisdom teaches. But we speak them with the words the Holy Spirit teaches comparing spiritual things with spiritual things.

No one has ever heard and no one has paid attention. No one has perceived any god except you. You help those who wait for you.

When you read this you can understand my insight into the secret of Christ. It was not made known to other generations of the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.

But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God. They are foolishness to him! He cannot know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

He goes by me and I do not see. He moves past and I do not perceive him.

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? This is the wisdom of God that the world through its wisdom did not come to know God. God was well pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

I do this that they may be filled with courage and be united (knit) together in love. I have the full assurance that only true understanding brings. In this way they will accurately know God's secret, which is Christ himself. In him is concealed all the hidden treasures of God's wisdom and knowledge.

I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot endure them now. When the Spirit of truth comes it will guide you to all truth for it will not speak from itself. He who obeys the law is a wise son. But he who is a companion of worthless men shames his father.

We pray for you to be filled with the [intimate accurate] knowledge (discernment) (recognition) of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Who can notice (discern) (understand) every mistake? Forgive my hidden faults.

Give me understanding, that I may observe your law and keep it with all my heart.

Some of the scribes said among themselves: This man has no respect for God. Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said: Why are your thoughts evil?

Some of the scribes sitting there reasoned in their hearts: Why does this man speak this way? He blasphemes for only God is the one who can forgive sins. Jesus immediately discerned in his spirit that they reasoned within themselves. He asked them: Why reason these things in your hearts?

The scribes and the Pharisees reasoned saying: Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone? Jesus perceived their reasoning and said to them: Why do you reason in your hearts?

The woman said to him: Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.

Call out for insight. Lift up your voice for understanding. Search for wisdom as if it were silver. Hunt for it as if it were hidden treasure! If you do these things you will have respect for Jehovah and you will find the true knowledge of God!

My son, do not let them depart from your eyes. Keep sound wisdom and discretion!

The mind of the prudent acquires knowledge. The ear of the wise one searches for knowledge.

If any of you lacks wisdom let him ask of God. He gives to all generously and without reproach and it will be given to him.

Give me the wisdom I need to rule your people with justice. Help me know the difference between good and evil. Otherwise, how would I ever be able to rule this great people of yours? Please give me the wisdom and knowledge I need to rule over them. Otherwise, how would I ever be able to rule this great people of yours? God replied to Solomon: You have made the right choice. I get understanding from your precepts. Therefore I hate every false way.

Peter protested and rebuked Jesus. He said: Do not think of that, Lord; it will never happen to you.

Jesus spoke openly about this. Peter took him aside and rebuked him.

He said to them: You are foolish men. You are slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!

Jesus answered: Are you a teacher of Israel and you do not understand these things?

She ran to Simon Peter and the other disciple whom Jesus loved and said to them: They have taken the Lord away out of the tomb. We do not know where they laid him.
