Do what Jehovah your God orders you to do. Obey all his laws and commands, as written in the Law of Moses. That way wherever you go you may prosper in everything you do. If you obey Jehovah he will keep the promise he made when he told me, 'Your descendants will rule Israel as long as they are careful to obey my commands faithfully with all their heart and being.'

If you will obey me and are faithful to the terms of my covenant, then out of all the nations you will be my own special possession, for all the earth is mine.

Be careful to do what Jehovah your God has commanded you. Never turn to the right or to the left. Follow all the directions Jehovah your God has given you. Then you will continue to live. Life will go well for you! You will live for a long time in the land that you are going to possess.

Now, O Israel, what does Jehovah your God require from you? You are to respect Jehovah your God. Walk in all his ways and love him! Serve Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your being. Obey Jehovah's commandments and his statutes I am commanding you today for your good!

Keep the words of this covenant to do them that you may prosper in all that you do.

I will give you judges like you had long ago, advisers like you had in the beginning. After that you will be called the Righteous City, the Faithful City.

Keep in mind that Jehovah your God is the only true God. He is the faithful God. He keeps his promise and is merciful to thousands of generations of those who love him and obey his commandments.

I will choose a priest who will be faithful to me and do everything I desire him to do. I will give him descendants, who will always serve in the presence of my anointed ones forever.

All the nations walk every one in the name of their god. We will walk in the name of Jehovah our God forever and ever.

Honor Jehovah and serve him sincerely and in truth. Get rid of the gods that your ancestors used to worship in Mesopotamia and in Egypt, and serve only Jehovah. If you are not willing to serve him, decide today whom you will serve, the gods your ancestors worshiped in Mesopotamia or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are now living. As for my family and me, we will serve Jehovah.'

Since the workmen are honest, do not require them to account for the money you give them.

But the Levitical priests, the sons of Zadok, who kept charge of my sanctuary when the sons of Israel went astray from me, shall come near to me to minister to me. They shall stand before me to offer me the fat and the blood, declares the Lord Jehovah.

My praise comes from you while I am among those assembled for worship. I will fulfill my vows in the presence of those who respect Jehovah.

So I will always sing praises to your name, as I perform my vows day after day.

But I will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving! I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation is from Jehovah!

People should regard us as servants of Christ. God has trusted us with his secrets. It is required of stewards that a man is trustworthy.

You should choose capable men from all the people. Find men who respect God. These must be men you can trust who hate corruption. Put them in charge of groups of thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.

Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to teaching. Do not neglect the spiritual gift in you. It was given to you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the elders. Be diligent and think about these things. Give yourself wholly to them. That way your progress may be apparent to all.read more.
Pay attention to yourself and to your teaching. Continue in these things. When you do this you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.

O Timothy, guard that which is committed to you. Turn away from the empty speeches that violate what is holy and from opposition and from false knowledge.

Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me.

Christ liberated us for freedom (moral liberty). Stand fast therefore, and do not become entangled again in a yoke of bondage.

For that reason, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, having done everything, to stand firm.

You who love Jehovah hate evil! He preserves his anointed ones. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

Love Jehovah, all you godly ones! Jehovah protects faithful people, but he pays back in full those who act arrogantly.

Jehovah loves justice, and he will not abandon his godly ones. They will be kept safe forever, but the descendants of the wicked will be destroyed.

Protect me, for I am a godly man. You are my God. Save your servant who trusts you.

He guards those on paths of justice. He watches over the way of his godly ones.

Jehovah put you in my power today. But you are his chosen king. I would not harm you. Jehovah rewards the righteous and faithful.

O Israel, do not rejoice. Do not celebrate as pagan nations do. You have been unfaithful to your God. You have sold sex on every threshing floor.
