But ye killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead, whereof we are witnesses.

Remember Jesus Christ of the seed of David, raised from the dead according to my gospel; For which I endure affliction even unto bonds,

He is not here; for he is risen, as he said: come, see the place where the Lord lay.

He saith to them, Be not affrighted: ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen: he is not here. Behold the place where they laid him.

He is not here, but is risen. Remember how he spake to you being yet in Galilee,

The first day of the week, cometh Mary Magdalene early, while it was yet dark, to the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. Then she runneth and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and saith to them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him. Then Peter went out and the other disciple, and ran toward the sepulchre. read more.
They both ran together: but the other disciple outran Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. And stooping down, he saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, And the napkin that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but folded up in a place by itself. Then the other disciple, who came first to the sepulchre, went in; and he saw and believed. For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. Then the disciples went home again. But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping. And as she wept, she stooped down into the sepulchre, And seeth two angels in white sitting, where the body of Jesus had laid, one at the head, and one at the feet. And they said to her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith to them, They have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him. And having said this, she turned herself back, and seeth Jesus standing, but knew not that it was Jesus. Jesus saith to her, Woman, why weepest thou? Whom seekest thou? She supposing him to be the gardiner, saith to him, Sir, if thou hast borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. Jesus saith to her, Mary! She turning, saith to him, Rabboni; that is, Master. Jesus saith to her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father. But go to my brethren and say to them, I ascend to my Father and your Father, and to my God and your God. Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples, that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things to her.

For as through Adam all die, even so through Christ shall all be made alive.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

Having hope in God, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and of the unjust, which they themselves also expect.

Yea, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we might not trust in ourselves, but in God, who raiseth the dead:

For as the Father raiseth and quickeneth the dead, so the Son also quickeneth whom he will.

And Jesus answering said to them, Go and tell John the things which ye hear and see. The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear; the dead are raised, and the poor have the gospel preached to them: And happy is he, whosoever shall not be offended at me.

But this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. read more.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O Hades, where is thy victory; The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

From that time Jesus began to shew his disciples, That he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

And shall deliver him to the Gentiles, to mock and scourge and crucify him; and the third day he shall rise again.

But after I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.

And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them to tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

And the apostles gave forth their testimony of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus with great power, and great grace was upon them all.

And we are witnesses of all things which he did, both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem; whom yet they slew and hanged on a tree. Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly; (Not to all the people, but to witnesses, chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him) after he rose from the dead.

Him being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands, have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death, as it was not possible that he should be held under it.

Yet in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject to you; but rather rejoice, that your names are written in heaven. At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes. Even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and manifest the counsels of the hearts. And then shall every one have praise from God.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor hath ear heard, neither hath it entered into the heart of man, what things God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them to us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, even the deep things of God.

rejoice, that when his glory shall be revealed, ye may likewise rejoice with exceeding great joy.

For there is nothing covered that shall not be uncovered, neither hid, that shall not be made known:

If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more them of his houshold? Therefore fear them not; for there is nothing covered, that shall not be discovered; nor hid, that shall not be known.

Then some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers incountered him: and some said, What would this babler say? Others, he seemeth to be a proclaimer of strange gods; because he preached to them Jesus, and the resurrection.

But if Christ is preached, that he rose from the dead, how say some among you, that there is no resurrection of the dead?

And when they heard of the resurrection from the dead, some mocked: but others said, We will hear thee again concerning this.

Who have erred from the faith, saying, The resurrection is already past, and overthrow the faith of some.

Then certain of the Saducees, who deny there is any resurrection, coming to him asked him,

Then come to him the Saducees, who say there is no resurrection, and they asked him, saying, Master, Moses wrote to us, If a man's brother die, and leave a wife, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed to his brother. There were seven brethren, and the first took a wife, and dying, left no seed. read more.
And the second took her and died, neither left he any seed; and the third likewise. And the seventh took her and left no seed. Last of all died the woman also. In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? For the seven had her to wife. And Jesus answering said to them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God? For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels who are in heaven. And touching the dead, that they rise, Have ye oot read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake to thim, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. Ye therefore greatly err.

The same day came the Saducees, who say there is no resurrection, and they asked him, Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die having no children, his brother shall marry his wife and raise up seed to his brother. But they who are accounted worthy to obtaan that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage. For neither can they die any more; for they are equal to angels, and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. But that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord, The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living; so that all live to him.

If ye then are risen with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ sitteth at the right-hand of God. Set your affections on the things above, not the things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, (according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began, But now made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God,

For this cause I Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, (Seeing ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God, given me to you ward, That by revelation he made known to me the mystery: as I wrote before in few words, read more.
By reading which ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ: Which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it hath now been revealed to the holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit, That the Gentiles are fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and joint-partakers of his promise by Christ through the gospel, Of which I have been made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effectual working of his power. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints is this grace given, to preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ. And to let all men see, what is the fellowship of the mystery, which was hidden from the beginning of the world by God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

who prophesied of the grace of God toward you. Searching what, and what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them signified, when he testified before hand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that should follow. To whom it was revealed, that not for themselves, but for us they ministered the things which have been now declared to you by them that have preached the gospel to you, with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven: which things angels desire to look into.

Marvel not at this: for the time is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth, they that have done good, to the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil, to the resurrection of damnation.

And the sea gave up the dead that were therein; and death and hades gave up the dead that were in them; and they were judged every one according to their works.

To whom also he presented himself alive after his passion, by many infallible proofs, being seen by them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

So they went and secured the sepulchre, sealing the stone, and setting a guard.

And having said this, he shewed them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.

Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Handle me and see: for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as you see me have.

Buried with him in baptism, by which ye are also risen with him, through the faith of the operation of God, who raised him from the dead.

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death, that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in newness of life.

And he hath quickened you,

through his great love wherewith he loved us, Hath quickened us together with Christ, even when we were dead in trespasses, (by grace ye are saved) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places through Christ Jesus:

If ye then are risen with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ sitteth at the right-hand of God.

But if Christ is preached, that he rose from the dead, how say some among you, that there is no resurrection of the dead? For if there be no resurrection of the dead, neither is Christ raised. And if Christ be not raised, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. read more.
Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we testified from God, that he raised up Christ, whom he did not raise, if the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, neither is Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are still in your sins. Then also they who sleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are more miserable than all men.

But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves: For if any one be an hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man beholding his natural face in a glass. For he beheld himself, and went away, and immediately forgot what manner of man he was.

But now is Christ risen from the dead, the first-fruit of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as through Adam all die, even so through Christ shall all be made alive.

And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. It is hard for thee, to kick against the goads.

Last of all he was seen by me also, as an untimely birth.

and many bodies of holy men that slept were raised.

And straightway the damsel arose and walked: for she was twelve years old. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

Accounting that God was able even to raise him from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.

For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

of whom the greater part remain until now, but some are fallen asleep.

After this he was seen by James, then by all the apostles.

Afterwards he was seen by above five hundred brethren at once,

And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them; and I saw the souls of them who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the wild beast nor his image, neither had received the mark on their forehead or on their hand; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. The rest of the dead lived not again till the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.

Happy and holy is he that hath a part in the first resurrection: over these the second death hath no power; but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Who some time disbelieved, when the long-suffering of God waited in the Days of Noah, while the ark was preparing, wherein few, that is, eight persons were saved through the water: The antitype whereof, baptism, now saveth us, (not the putting away the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

For I am not ashamed of the gospel; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, both to the Jew and to the Gentile. For the righteousness of God is revealed therein from faith to faith; as it is written, The just shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven, against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who detain the truth in unrighteousness. read more.
For what is to be known of God, is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it to them. For those things of him which are invisible, both his eternal power and Godhead, are clearly seen from the creation of the world, being understood by the things which are made, so that they are without excuse:

And when they saw him they worshiped him, tho' some had doubted.

Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in me, tho' he die, yet shall he live; And whosoever liveth and believeth in me, shall not die for ever.

And behold Jesus met them and said, Hail. And they came, and took hold of his feet and worshiped him.

But when the people were put forth, he went in and took her by the hand; and the maid arose.

And he led them out as far as Bethany; and lifting up his hands, he blessed them.

The same day, the first day of the week, at evening, the doors being shut, where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and saith to them, Peace be unto you.

And eight days after, his disciples were again within, and Thomas with them. Jesus cometh, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst and said, Peace be unto you.

And as they spake thus, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith to them, Peace be unto you.

And as they talked and argued together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them.

And he that had been dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapt about with a napkin. Jesus saith to them, Loose him, and let him go.

After these things Jesus manifested himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; he manifested himself thus.

Now when Jesus was risen early, the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

And the dead man sat up, and began to speak: and he delivered him to his mother.

But Peter, having put them all out, kneeled down and prayed; and turning to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes, and seeing Peter, sat up.

And after the three days and an half, the spirit of life from God came into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them that saw them.

And he hath quickened you,

And you who were dead in trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him,

and made us sit together in heavenly places through Christ Jesus:

And if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead, will also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what will the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
