And when he was in Jerusalem at the passover on the feast-day, many believed in his name, seeing his miracles, which He wrought.

But wo unto you pharisees, who tithe even your mint, and rue, and all your herbs, and pass by judgement and the love of God: these ought ye to practise and not to omit the others.

Now as they were at table, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body: and He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it: for this is my blood, the blood of the new covenant, which is to be shed for many for the remission of sins:

And He sendeth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go into the city, and there will meet you a man carrying a pitcher of water: follow him, and where he goes in, say to the man of the house, The master inquireth, Where is the room, in which I may eat the passover with my disciples? read more.
And he will shew you a large upper room ready prepared, there make preparation for us. And his disciples went out, and came into the city, and found every thing as He told them; and so prepared the passover. And in the evening He cometh with the rest of the twelve. And when they were sat down and eating together, Jesus said, Verily I tell you, that one of you will betray me, who is now eating with me. And they were grieved, and said to Him one by one, Is it I? Is it I? And He said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that is now dipping with me in the dish. The Son of man is going indeed as it is written concerning Him; but wo to that man by whom He is betrayed; it had been good for him, if that man had never been born. And as they were at table, Jesus took bread, and when He had blessed it He brake it, and gave it to them, and said, Take, eat, This is my body: and He took the cup, and when He had given thanks, He gave it to them: and they all drank of it. And He said unto them, This is an emblem of my blood the seal of the new covenant, which is to be shed for many: and I assure you, that I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine, till the day when I shall drink it new in the kingdom of God.

And He took bread, and gave thanks and brake it, and gave it to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me: as also the cup after supper, saying, This cup represents the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you.

Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas to the pretorium: (now it was morning) and they themselves went not in to the court, least they should be defiled, and so might not eat of the passover.

And all that heard Him were astonished at his understanding and his answers. And when they saw Him, they were amazed. And his mother said to Him, Son, why didst thou deal thus with us? behold, thy father and I with grief have been seeking for thee. And He said to them, Why did ye so seek me? Did not ye know that I ought to be in my Father's house? but they did not understand the word which He spake to them.
