And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into the outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

But when they persecute you in this city, flee to another; for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I am not come to send peace, but a sword.

And thou, Capernaum, who hast been exalted to heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained till this day.

And he answered and said to them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh a sign, and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

He proposed to them another parable, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like a man sowing good seed in his field. But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel amidst the wheat, and went away. And when the blade was sprung up and brought forth fruit, then appeared the darnel also.read more.
So the servants of the housholder came to him and said, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? Whence then hath it darnel? He said to them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said to him, Wilt thou then, that we go and gather them up? But he said, No: lest gathering up the darnel, ye root up the wheat with them. Suffer both to grow together till the harvest; and at the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the darnel, and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn. He proposed to them another parable, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard-seed, which a man took and sowed in his field: Which indeed is the least of all seeds, but when it is grown, it is the greatest of herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches of it. He spake another parable to them: the kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman taking, covered up in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. All these things spake Jesus to the multitude in parables, and without a parable spake he not unto them: Whereby was fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hid from the foundation of the world. Then Jesus having sent the multitude away, went into the house: and his disciples came to him, saying, Declare to us the parable of the darnel of the field. He answering said to them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man. The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom, but the darnel are the children of the wicked one. The enemy that sowed them is the devil: the harvest is the end of the world; the reapers are the angels. As therefore the darnel are gathered and burnt with fire, so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them that do iniquity. And shall cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the Sun in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hid in a field, which a man having found hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking goodly pearls: Who having found one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net cast into the sea, and gathering of every kind. Which when it was full, they drew to the shore, and sitting down, gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it be at the end of the world. The angels shall come forth and sever the wicked from among the just. And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

And I say also to thee, Thou art Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

From that time Jesus began to shew his disciples, That he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

Verily I say to you, there are some standing here, who shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said to them, The Son of man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men; And they will kill him, and the third day he shall rise again: and they were exceeding sorry.

Behold we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man shall be betrayed to the chief priests and scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, And shall deliver him to the Gentiles, to mock and scourge and crucify him; and the third day he shall rise again.

Hear another parable. There was a certain housholder, who planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a wine-press in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country. And when the season of fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, to receive the fruits of it. And the husbandmen taking his servants, beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.read more.
Again he sent other servants more than the first; and they did to them likewise. Last of all he sent to them his Son, saying, They will reverence my Son. But the husbandmen seeing the Son, said among themselves, This is the heir; come let us kill him and seize on his inheritance. And taking him, they cast him out of the vineyard and slew him. When therefore the Lord of the vineyard cometh, what will he do to those husbandmen? They say to him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out the vineyard to other husbandmen who will render him the fruits in their seasons. Jesus saith to them, Have ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, is become the head of the corner? This is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes. Therefore I say to you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Wherefore behold I send to you prophets, and wise-men, and scribes; and some of them ye will kill and crucify, and some of them ye will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city: That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of Abel the righteous, to the blood of Zechariah the son of Barachiah, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. Verily I say to you, all these things shall come upon this generation.read more.
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killest the prophets, and stonest them who are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a bird gathereth her young under her wings; and ye would not! Behold your house is left unto you desolate. For I say to you, ye shall not see me from this time, till ye say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

And Jesus going out of the temple departed: and his disciples came to him, to shew him the buildings of the temple.

And Jesus answering said, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and shall deceive many.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached to all the world, for a testimony to all nations: and then shall the end come.

Then if any say to you, Lo here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For false Christs and false prophets shall arise and shew great signs and wonders, so that they would deceive (if it were possible) even the elect. Behold I have told you before.read more.
Therefore if they say to you, Behold, he is in the desert, go not forth: Behold he is in the secret chambers, believe it not.

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be like ten virgins, who taking their lamps, went forth to meet the bridegroom.

Ye know that after two days is the Passoever, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

Verily I say to you, wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, this also which she hath done shall be spoken for a memorial of her.

And they were exceeding sorrowful and began each of them to say to him,

And he answering said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same will betray me. The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but wo to that man, by whom the Son of man is betrayed: it had been good for that man if he had not been born. Then Judas who betrayed him answering said, Master, Is it I? He saith to him, Thou hast said.

Then cometh he to his disciples and saith to them, Sleep on now and take your rest: Behold the hour is come, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise; let us be going: behold he that betrayeth me is at hand.

And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

And he said to them, Verily I say unto you, there are some of them that stand here, who shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God coming with power.

For he taught his disciples and said to them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men; and they will kill him, and after he hath been killed, he shall rise the third day.

And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus went before them. And they were amazed, and as they followed, they were afraid. And taking the twelve again, he told them what things should befall him: Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man shall be betrayed to the chief priests and the scribes: and they will condemn him to death, and deliver him to the Gentiles. And they will mock him and scourge him and spit upon him and kill him. And the third day he will rise again.

And on the morrow, as they were coming from Bethany, he was hungry. And seeing a fig-tree afar off, having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and coming to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not a season of figs. And he answering said to it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever: And his disciples heard it.

And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith to him, Master, see what manner of stones, and what manner of buildings!

And Jesus answering said, Take heed lest any deceive you. For many will come in my name saying, I am Christ, and will deceive many.

Then if any man say to you, Lo, here is Christ, or lo, he is there, believe it not. For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

She hath done what she could: she hath before-hand embalmed my body for the burial. Verily I say to you, wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, what she hath done shall be spoken of also, for a memorial of her.

And these signs shall follow them that believe: in my name they shall cast out devils: they shall speak with new tongues: They shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them: they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

to tell this to no man, saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day. And he said to all, if any man be willing to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow me. For who|oever will save his life shall gose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake, he shall save it:

And I tell you of a truth there are some standing here, who shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

Happy is that servant, whom his Lord, when he cometh, shall find so doing. Verily I say to you, he will set him over all that he hath. But if that servant say in his heart, My Lord delayeth his coming, and shall begin to beat the men servants and maidens, and to eat, and drink, and be drunken: The Lord of that servant will come in a day when he expecteth not, and at an hour when he knoweth not, and will cut him in sunder, and appoint him his portion with the unfaithful. And that servant who knew his Lord's will, and prepared not, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For to whomsoever much is given, of him much shall be required; and to whom they have committed much, of him they will ask the more. I am come to send fire on the earth. And what do I desire? That it were already kindled! But I have a baptism to be baptized with: and how am I straitned till it be accomplished! Suppose ye that I am come to send peace upon earth? I tell you, Nay, but rather division. For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

And he said to him, Strive to enter in thro' the strait gate; for many, I say to you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up and hath shut the door, and ye begin to stand without, and knock at the door saying, Lord, Lord, open to us: He shall answer and say to you, I know you not whence ye are. Then shall ye say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.read more.
But he shall say, I tell you, I know not whence ye are: depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out. But behold, there are last who shall be first, and there are first who shall be last. The same day came certain of the Pharisees, saying to him, Go out and depart from hence; for Herod is minded to kill thee. And he said to them, Go and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow; and the third day I am perfected. But I must go on to day, and to morrow, and the day following; for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killest the prophets and stonest them that are sent to thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together as a bird gathereth her brood under her wings, and ye would not! Behold your house is left to you desolate; and verily I say to you, Ye shall not see me, till the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

And being asked by the Pharisees, When cometh the kingdom of God, He answered them and said, The kingdom of God, cometh not with observation. Neither shall they say, Lo here, or lo there; for behold, the kingdom of God is within you. And he said to the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and shall not see it.read more.
And when they shall say to you, See here; see there: go not, nor follow them. Ior as the lightning that lightneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth to the other part under heaven, so shall also the Son of man be in his day. But first he must suffer many things, and be rejected by this generation. And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the son of man. They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, till the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded: But the day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day that the Son of man is revealed. In that day, he that shall be on the house-top and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. Remember Lot's wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life, shall lose it, and whosoever shall lose his life, shall preserve it. I tell you, in this night, there shall be two men in one bed; one shall be taken and the other left. Two women shall be grinding together; one shall be taken and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; one shall be taken and the other left. And they answering said to him, Where Lord? And he said to them, Wheresoever the body is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

Then he took to him the twelve, and said to them, Behold we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets shall be accomplished on the Son of man. For he shall be delivered to the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully intreated, and spitted on: And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.

And as he drew near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, saying, O that thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day the things that are for thy peace. But now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and press thee on every side,read more.
And shall dash thee against the ground, and thy children, that are in thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another: because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation. And going into the temple, he drove out them that sold and them that bought therein. Saying to them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer, but ye have made it a den of thieves. And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people, sought to destroy him, And found not what they might do; for all the people hung upon him to hear him.

And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ: And the time is near.

But Jesus turning to them, said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. For behold the days are coming in which they will say, Happy are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps that never gave suck. Then shall they say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.read more.
For if they do these things in the green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and I will raise it up in three days.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up,

Jesus saith to her, Woman, Believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father seeketh such worshipers.

Verily, verily I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in himself, so hath he given to the Son also to have life in himself, And hath given him authority, to execute judgment likewise, because he is the Son of man.read more.
Marvel not at this: for the time is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth, they that have done good, to the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil, to the resurrection of damnation.

And this is the will of him that sent me, That of all which he hath given me, I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.

He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

Then said Jesus to them, Yet a little time I am with you, and then I go to him that sent me. Ye shall seek, and shall not find me, and where I am, ye cannot come.

Then said Jesus again to them, I go, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sin.

Jesus therefore saith to them, When ye shall have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am, and that I do nothing of myself, but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

Jesus hearing it, said, This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified thereby.

Thus he spake, and after that he saith to them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go to awake him.

Jesus saith to her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith to him,

Jesus saith to her, Said I not to thee, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

Then Jesus said, Let her alone; against the day of my burial hath she kept this. Ye have the poor always with you: but me ye have not always.

And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.

And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to me.

Who is this Son of man? Then Jesus said to them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness overtake you, for he that walketh in darkness, knoweth not whither he goeth.

I know whom I have chosen, that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me, hath lift up his heel against me. Now I tell you before it is done, that, when it is done, ye may believe that I am he. Verily, verily I say unto you, he that receiveth whomsoever I send, receiveth me, and he that receiveth me, receiveth him that sent me.read more.
Jesus having said this, was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily I say unto you, one of you will betray me. Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake. Now there was lying in the bosom of Jesus, one of the disciples whom Jesus loved. Simon Peter therefore beckoneth to him, to ask who it was of whom he spake. He then, leaning on the breast of Jesus, saith to him, Lord, who is it? Jesus answered, It is he to whom I shall give the sop when I have dipped it. And having dipped the sop, he giveth it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. And after the sop, then Satan entered into him.

Little children, yet a little while I am with you: ye shall seek me, and as I said to the Jews, Whither I go ye cannot come, so now I say to you.

Simon Peter saith to him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me hereafter. Peter saith to him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake. Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily I say to thee, the cock shall not have crowed, till thou hast denied me thrice.

And now I have told you, before it come to pass, that when it is come to pass, ye may believe.

But I have told you these things, that when the time shall come, ye may remember I told you them. I did not tell you these things at the beginning, because I was with you.

Of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye see me no more;

A little while and ye shall not see me; and again, a little while and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

yea, is already come, that ye shall be scattered every one to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone; for the Father is with me.

Verily, verily I say unto thee, when thou wast young, thou didst gird thyself, and walk whither thou wouldest: but when thou art old, thou shalt stretch out thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not. This he said, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And having said this, he saith to him, Follow me. Peter turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, who is he that betrayeth thee?read more.
Peter seeing him, saith to Jesus, Lord, what shall this man do? Jesus saith to him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is it to thee? Follow thou me. Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die. Yet Jesus did not say to him, That he should not die: but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is it to thee?
