And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.

Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit." Yet you do not know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that."

And he made from one man every nation of men to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation,

He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has fixed by his own authority.

When a woman is in labor she has sorrow, because her hour has come; but as soon as she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a child has been born into the world. So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.

For he says, "At the acceptable time I have listened to you, and helped you on the day of salvation." Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

God again set a certain day, "Today," saying through David after so long a time just as has been said before, "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts."

because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and of this he has given proof to all men by raising him from the dead."

Now in the morning, a long while before daylight, he rose and went out to a solitary place, and there he prayed.

But when the time had fully come, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

Jesus answered them, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.

And he said: "Take heed that you not are deceived. For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he,' and, 'The time is near.' Do not go after them.

Blessed is he who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it; for the time is near.
