For I am not ashamed of the Gospel; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek

tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that works evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Greek;

What, then? Are we better than they? Not at all; for we before charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin;

if, indeed, God is One Who will justify the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcision through faith.

And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while in uncircumcision; that he might be father of all who believe while in uncircumcision, that the righteousness might be reckoned to them; and father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the faith of our father Abraham, which he had in uncircumcision.

but, on the contrary, seeing that I had been entrusted with the Gospel of the uncircumcision, as Peter was with that of the circumcision;

(for He Who wrought for Peter with regard to an apostleship of the circumcision, wrought for me also with regard to the gentiles).

And, perceiving the grace which was given to me, James and Cephas and John, who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas right-hands of fellowship, that we should go to the gentiles, and they to the circumcision;
