and, having brought them out, he said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" And they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved, and your house."
And Paul said, "John immersed with an immersion of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him coming after him; that is, on Jesus."
fully testifying, both to Jews and Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus.
through Whom we received grace and apostleship, for obedience of faith among all the nations for His name's sake;
And this is the commandment, that we should believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment.
Philip says to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it suffices us." Jesus saith to him, "So long a time am I with you, and you do not know Me, Philip! He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how say you, 'Show us the Father?' Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I say to you, I speak not from Myself; but the Father, abiding in Me, doeth His works.read more.
Believe Me, that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me; or, else, believe Me because of the works themselves.
Consequently, faith comes of hearing; and hearing, through the word of Christ. But I say, did they not hear? Yes, verily, "Their sound went out into all the earth, and their words to the ends of the inhabited earth."
He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world knew Him not. He came to His own possessions, and those who were His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those believing in His name;
For God's wrath is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hinder the truth in unrighteousness; because that which is known of God is manifested in them; for God manifested it to them. For His invisible things, since the creation of the world, are clearly seen, being perceived by the things that are made, even His everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse:read more.

What, then, is the advantage of the Jew? Or what is the profit of circumcision? Much every way: first, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God. For what, if some did disbelieve? Shall their disbelief make void the faithfulness of God?read more.

Because it is contained in Scripture, "Behold, I lay in Zion a Chief Corner-Stone, Elect, Precious; and he who believes on Him shall in nowise be put to shame." To you, therefore, who believe is the preciousness; but to those who disbelieve, a stone which the builders rejected, this was made into a head of a corner," and "a stone of stumbling, and rock of offense"; who stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which also they were appointed.
And he who doubts is condemned, if he eat, because he eats not of faith; and all that is not of faith is sin.
One man, indeed, esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each one be fully convinced in his own mind. He that regards the day regards it to the Lord; and he that eats eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he that eats not, to the Lord he eats not, and gives thanks to God. For no one of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself.read more.
For, if we live, we live to the Lord; and, if we die, we die to the Lord: whether we live, therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

And with whom was He displeased forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness? And to whom did He swear, that they should not enter into His rest, but to those who were disbelieving?
And afterward He was manifested to the eleven themselves, as they were reclining at table, and upbraided them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not those who saw Him after He had risen.
