But Peter, answering, said to Him, "If all should be made to stumble because of Thee, I will never be made to stumble." Jesus said to him, "Verily I say to you, that this night, before a cock crows, you will thrice deny Me." Peter says to Him, "Even if I must die with Thee, I will not deny Thee." Likewise also said all the disciples.

But Peter said to Him, "If even all should be made to stumble, yet will not I!" And Jesus saith to him, "Verily I say to you, that you today, in this night, before the cock crows twice, will thrice deny Me." But he kept saying with great vehemence, "If I must die with Thee, I will not deny Thee!" And in like manner also said they all.

And, when they came to the place that is called "The Skull," there they crucified Him, and the malefactors; one on the right hand, and the other on the left. And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do!" And, dividing His garments among them, they cast lots.

Peter says to Him, "Why can I not follow Thee even now? I will lay down my soul for Thee." Jesus answered, "Will you lay down your soul for Me? Verily, verily, I say to you, a cock shall not crow, till you thrice deny Me."

And he said to Him, "Lord, I am ready to go with Thee, both to prison and to death." And He said, "I tell you, Peter, a cock will not crow to-day, until you thrice deny that you know Me."

But a certain man, Simon by name, was in the city before, using sorcery, and astonishing the nation of Samaria, affirming himself to be some great one;

And, if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them, and became a joint-partaker of the root and of the fatness of the Olive tree; boast not against the branches. But, if you boast, it is not you that bear the root; but the root, you.

And ye have become puffed up, and did not rather mourn, that he who did this deed might be taken away from you.

And I said, 'Lord, they themselves understand that I was imprisoning and beating, throughout the synagogues, those believing on Thee; and, when the blood of Stephen, Thy witness, was poured forth, I myself also was standing by, and approving, and guarding the garments of those who slew him. And He said to me, 'Depart, because I will send you far hence to the gentiles.'

It is needful for me to glory, though, indeed, not profitable; but I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

Try yourselves, whether ye are in the faith; prove yourselves. Or know ye not as to yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you, unless ye be rejected? But I hope that ye shall know, that we are not rejected.

Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is caused to stumble, and I burn not? If I must glory, I will glory in the things that pertain to my weakness.

I speak by way of dishonor, as though we were weak; but in whatever anyone is bold (I speak in foolishness), I also am bold. Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they Abraham's seed? so am I. Are they ministers of Christ? And the high priest, standing up, said to Him, "Answerest Thou nothing? What are these testifying against Thee?" But Jesus was silent. And the high priest said to Him, "I adjure Thee by the living God, that Thou tell us whether Thou art the Christ, the Son of God" Jesus saith to him, "You said it: nevertheless I say to you, henceforth ye shall see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming on the clouds of heaven."

Ye call Me 'The Teacher,' and 'The Lord;' and ye say well; for so I am.

but God chose the foolish things of the world, that He might put to shame the wise; and God chose the weak things of the world, that He might put to shame the things that are strong; and the base things of the world, and things despised, did God choose, and the things that are not, that He might bring to nought the things that are; that no flesh should glory before God.read more.
