By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, is from God: and whatever spirit confesses not that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, is not from God: and this is the spirit of antichrist, of which you have heard that it comes, and is now already in the world.

and we are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit also, whom God has given to them that obey him.

But the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I have spoken to you.

But when he, the Spirit of the truth, has come, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak of himself; but what he hears, that will he speak, and he will show you things to come. He will glorify me; for he will take of mine, and show it to you.

This is he that came by water and by blood, Jesus the Christ; not by water only, but by water and by blood: and it is the Spirit that testifies, because the Spirit is truth.

And he that keeps his commandments abides in him, and he in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit which he has given us.

By this we know that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.

For there are three that testify, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and the three agree in one. If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater: for this is the testimony of God, which he has borne concerning his Son.read more.
He that believes on the Son of God has the testimony in him self: he that believes not God, has made him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony which God has borne concerning his Son.
