The Israelites would break camp or set up camp at Jehovah's command. They stayed at the place where the column of smoke stayed over the tent. When the smoke stayed over the tent for a long time, the Israelites obeyed Jehovah's command and did not break camp. The same thing happened when the smoke stayed only a few days over the tent: At Jehovah's command they would set up camp, and at his command they would break camp. Sometimes the column of smoke stayed only from evening until morning. They broke camp when the smoke moved in the morning. Day or night, when the smoke moved, they broke camp. Whether it was two days, a month, or a year, as long as the column of smoke stayed over the tent, the Israelites stayed in the same place. But when the smoke moved, they would break camp and move.

1 Kings 8:10-11

As the priests were leaving the Temple, it was suddenly filled with a cloud. It shined with the dazzling light of Jehovah's presence. They could not go back in to perform their duties.

Abraham will definitely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed in him. When they moved, they moved in any of the four directions without turning as they moved. The rims of the wheels were large and frightening. They were covered with eyes.

Then I looked, and behold, four wheels beside the angels. There was one wheel beside each angel. The appearance of the wheels was like the gleam of a chrysolite stone. All four of them had the same likeness in appearance, as if one wheel was within another wheel. When they moved, they went in any of their four directions without turning as they went.
