as thou hast given him authority over all flesh, that he may give eternal life to all that thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, to know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou has sent.
And this is the testimony, that God has given us eternal life: and this life is in his Son. He that has the Son, has life: he that has not the Son of God, has not life. I have written these things to you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God.
in hope of eternal life, which God, who can not lie, promised be fore the times of the ages,
not by works of righteousness which we had done, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit, which he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior; that, being justified by his grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Wherefore, brethren, give the greater diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if you do these things, you will never fall. For thus will an entrance be given you abundantly into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
