'Brother' in the Bible
Six days later, Jesus took Peter, James, and his brother John and led them up a high mountain by themselves.
"If your brother sins against you, go and confront him while the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have won back your brother.
Then Peter came up and asked him, "Lord, how many times may my brother sin against me and I have to forgive him? Seven times?"
This is how my heavenly Father will treat each one of you unless you forgive your brother from your hearts."
"Teacher, Moses said, "If a man dies having no children, his brother must marry the widow and have children for his brother.'
Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children, he left his widow to his brother.
The same thing happened with the second brother, and then the third, and finally with the rest of the brothers.
While Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew. They were throwing a net into the sea because they were fishermen.
Going on a little farther, he saw James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John. They were in a boat repairing their nets.
Zebedee's sons James and his brother John (whom he named Boanerges, that is, Sons of Thunder),
Whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother."
Jesus allowed no one to go further with him except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James.
This is the builder, the son of Mary, and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon, isn't it? His sisters are here with us, aren't they?" And they were offended by him.
because Herod himself had sent men who arrested John, bound him with chains, and put him in prison on account of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife, whom Herod had married.

Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard John and followed Jesus.
The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and say to him, "We have found the Anointed One!" (which is translated "Messiah").
One of his disciples, Andrew, who was Simon Peter's brother, told him,
Mary was the woman who anointed the Lord with perfume and wiped his feet with her hair. Her brother Lazarus was the one who was ill.
and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to console them about their brother.
Martha told Jesus, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.
Jesus told her, "Your brother will rise again."
As soon as Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she fell down at his feet and told him, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother wouldn't have died."
So Ananias left and went to that house. He laid his hands on Saul and said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were traveling, has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit."
He even had James, the brother of John, killed with a sword.
When they heard about it, they praised God and told him, "You see, brother, how many tens of thousands of believers there are among the Jews, and all of them are zealous for the Law.
came to me. He stood beside me and said, "Brother Saul, receive your sight!' At that moment I could see him.
Why, then, do you criticize your brother? Or why do you despise your brother? For all of us will stand before the judgment seat of God.

and send Timothy, our brother who works with us for God in the gospel of the Messiah, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith,
Furthermore, you must never take advantage of or exploit a brother in this regard, because the Lord avenges all these things, just as we already told you and warned you.
In the name of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, we command you, brothers, to keep away from every brother who is living in idleness and not living according to the tradition that they received from us.
Yet, don't treat him like an enemy, but warn him like a brother.
