7 Jehovah answered: Samuel, do everything they want you to do. I am really the one they have rejected as their king. 8 Like all the deeds which they have done since the day that I brought them up from Egypt even to this day—in that they have forsaken Me and served other gods—so they are doing to you also. 9 Listen to them. But be sure to warn them and tell them about the behavior and rights of a king who rules over them.
