Final Warnings To The Church At Corinth

11 This is the third time I am coming to you EVERY FACT IS TO BE CONFIRMED BY THE TESTIMONY OF TWO OR THREE WITNESSES.

11 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

11 This is the third time I am coming to you. On the testimony of two or three witnesses every word will be confirmed.

11 This will be the third time I am coming to you. "Every accusation must be verified by two or three witnesses."

11 This is the third time that I am coming to you. By the testimony of two or three witnesses must any charge and every accusing statement be sustained and confirmed.

22 I have previously said when present the second time, and though now absent I say in advance to those who have sinned in the past and to all the rest as well, that if I come again I will not spare anyone,

22 I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare:

22 I gave warning, and I give warning-as when I was present the second time, so now while I am absent-to those who sinned before and to all the rest: if I come again, I will not be lenient,

22 I have already warned those who sinned previously and all the rest. Although I am absent now, I am warning them as I did on my second visit: If I come back, I will not spare you,

22 I have already warned those who sinned formerly and all the rest also, and I warn them now again while I am absent, as I did when present on my second visit, that if I come back, I will not spare [them],

33 since you are seeking for proof of the Christ who speaks in me, and who is not weak toward you, but mighty in you.

33 Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you.

33 since you seek proof of Christ speaking in me. He is not weak toward you, but powerful among you.

33 since you want proof that the Messiah is speaking through me. He is not weak in dealing with you but is making his power felt among you.

33 Since you desire and seek [perceptible] proof of the Christ Who speaks in and through me. [For He] is not weak and feeble in dealing with you, but is a mighty power within you;

44 For indeed He was crucified because of weakness, yet He lives because of the power of God For we also are weak in Him, yet we will live with Him because of the power of God directed toward you.

44 For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.

44 In fact, He was crucified in weakness, but He lives by God's power. For we also are weak in Him, yet toward you we will live with Him by God's power.

44 Though he was crucified in weakness, he lives by God's power. We are weak with him, but by God's power we will live for you.

44 For though He was crucified in weakness, yet He goes on living by the power of God. And though we too are weak in Him [as He was humanly weak], yet in dealing with you [we shall show ourselves] alive and strong in [fellowship with] Him by the power of God.

55 Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you--unless indeed you fail the test?

55 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

55 Test yourselves [to see] if you are in the faith. Examine yourselves. Or do you not recognize for yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you?-unless you fail the test.

55 Keep examining yourselves to see whether you are continuing in the faith. Test yourselves! You know, don't you, that Jesus the Messiah lives in you? Could it be that you are failing the test?

55 Examine and test and evaluate your own selves to see whether you are holding to your faith and showing the proper fruits of it. Test and prove yourselves [ not Christ]. Do you not yourselves realize and know [thoroughly by an ever-increasing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you -- "unless you are [counterfeits] disapproved on trial and rejected?

66 But I trust that you will realize that we ourselves do not fail the test.

66 But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.

66 And I hope you will recognize that we are not failing the test.

66 I hope you will realize that we haven't failed our test.

66 But I hope you will recognize and know that we are not disapproved on trial and rejected.

77 Now we pray to God that you do no wrong; not that we ourselves may appear approved, but that you may do what is right, even though we may appear unapproved.

77 Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.

77 Now we pray to God that you do nothing wrong, not that we may appear to pass the test, but that you may do what is right, even though we [may appear] to fail.

77 We pray to God that you will not do anything wrong not to show that we have not failed the test, but so that you may do what is right, even if we seem to have failed.

77 But I pray to God that you may do nothing wrong, not in order that we [ our teaching] may appear to be approved, but that you may continue doing right, [though] we may seem to have failed and be unapproved.

88 For we can do nothing against the truth, but only for the truth.

88 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

88 For we are not able to do anything against the truth, but only for the truth.

88 For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth.

88 For we can do nothing against the Truth [ not serve any party or personal interest], but only for the Truth [ which is the Gospel].

99 For we rejoice when we ourselves are weak but you are strong; this we also pray for, that you be made complete.

99 For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.

99 In fact, we rejoice when we are weak and you are strong. We also pray for this: your maturity.

99 We are glad when we are weak and you are strong. That is what we are praying for your maturity.

99 For we are glad when we are weak ( unapproved) and you are really strong. And this we also pray for: your all-round strengthening and perfecting of soul.

1010 For this reason I am writing these things while absent, so that when present I need not use severity, in accordance with the authority which the Lord gave me for building up and not for tearing down.

1010 Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.

1010 This is why I am writing these things while absent, that when I am there I will not use severity, in keeping with the authority the Lord gave me for building up and not for tearing down.

1010 For this reason I am writing this while I am away from you: When I come I do not want to be severe in using the authority the Lord gave me to build you up and not to tear you down.

1010 So I write these things while I am absent from you, that when I come to you, I may not have to deal sharply in my use of the authority which the Lord has given me [to be employed, however] for building [you] up and not for tearing [you] down.
