2 Samuel 8:6

David's Military Victories Continue

⁵ The Syrians of Damascus sent an army to help King Hadadezer. David attacked it and killed twenty-two thousand men. ⁶ Then David put garrisons among the Arameans of Damascus, and the Arameans became servants to David, bringing tribute. And the Lord helped David wherever he went. ⁷ David captured the gold shields carried by Hadadezer's officials and took them to Jerusalem.

He put troops everywhere in Edom. All the Edomites were David's subjects. Everywhere David went Jehovah gave him victories.

Jonathan defeated the Philistine troops at Geba. The Philistines heard about it. With the sounding of the trumpet throughout the land, Saul announced: Let the Hebrews listen!

1 Samuel 14:1

Jonathan the son of Saul said to the young man who carried his armor: Come and let us go over to the Philistine outpost on the other side. He did not tell his father.

1 Samuel 14:6

Jonathan said to the young man: Let us cross over to the camp of those heathen Philistines. Maybe Jehovah will help us. If he does, nothing can keep him from giving us the victory no matter how few of us there are.

1 Samuel 14:15

There was panic among the army in the field. All the troops in the military post trembled with fear. The raiding party also trembled in fear. The earth shook, and there was a panic sent from God.

2 Samuel 3:18

Do it now! This is what Jehovah said about David: 'I will save my people Israel from the Philistines and all their other enemies through my servant David.'

2 Samuel 8:2

He defeated the Moabites. He made the prisoners lie down on the ground and put two out of every three of them to death. So the Moabites became his subjects and paid taxes to him.

2 Samuel 23:14

David was on a fortified hill. A group of Philistines occupied Bethlehem.

1 Chronicles 18:13

He put troops in Edom, and all its people became David's subjects. Everywhere David went Jehovah gave him victories.

2 Chronicles 17:2

He stationed troops in the fortified cities of Judah. He also put troops in the Judean countryside, and in the cities that Asa had captured in the territory of Ephraim.

The horse has prepared the day of battle. However, deliverance is from Jehovah.
