Acts 8:5

Philip Preaches In Samaria

⁴ Now the disciples, who had become scattered all over, went everywhere preaching the message [of God]. ⁵ And Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed Christ to them. ⁶ Great crowds of people joined together in accepting Philip's message when they heard and saw the [miraculous] signs he was able to perform.

Acts 6:5

This arrangement pleased the whole group, so they selected Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas and Nicolaus, a proselyte [i.e., convert to the Jewish religion] from Antioch.

Jesus sent these twelve apostles out and ordered them saying, "Do not go on any road leading to Gentile territory or enter any town of the Samaritans.

And Saul was in full agreement with Stephen being put to death. And a great persecution broke out against the Jerusalem church, and all the disciples, except the apostles, were scattered throughout the districts of Judea and Samaria.
