The Covenant Ceremony

⁵ And he sent young men from the {Israelites}, and they offered burnt offerings, and they sacrificed sacrifices [as] fellowship offerings to Yahweh [using] bulls. ⁶ And Moses took half of the blood, and he put [it] in bowls, and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. ⁷ And he took the scroll of the covenant and read [it] in the hearing of the people, and they said, "All that Yahweh has spoken we will do, and we will listen."

Hebrews 9:18

Therefore not even the first [covenant] was ratified without blood.

Exodus 12:7

And they will take [some] of the blood and put [it] on the two doorposts and on the lintel on the houses in which they eat it.
