God's Judgment On Both Sisters

³⁶ Jehovah said to me: Son of man, will you judge Oholah and Oholibah? Then declare to them their abominations. ³⁷ For they have committed adultery, and blood is on their hands. Thus they have committed adultery with their idols and even caused their sons, whom they bore to Me, to pass through the fire to them as food. ³⁸ Again, they have done this to me: they have defiled my sanctuary on the same day and have profaned my Sabbaths.

Ezekiel 16:36

You chased after lovers, then took off your clothes and had sex. You even worshiped disgusting idols and sacrificed your own children as offerings to them.

Ezekiel 16:20-21

You took your sons and daughters, who belonged to me, and you sacrificed them as food to idols. Was your prostitution not enough?

Ezekiel 16:38

I will judge you like women who commit adultery or shed blood are judged. I will bring on you the blood of wrath and jealousy.

Leviticus 18:21

Never give your children as sacrifices to the god Molech by burning them alive. If you do, you are dishonoring the name of your God. I am Jehovah!

Leviticus 20:2-5

Tell the Israelites: 'If Israelites or foreigners living among you give one of their children as a sacrifice to the god Molech, they must be put to death. The common people must stone them to death.

Deuteronomy 12:31

Do not behave this way toward Jehovah your God, for every abominable act Jehovah hates they have done for their gods. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.

2 Kings 17:17

Psalm 106:37-38

They sacrificed their sons and daughters to demons.

Isaiah 1:15

Jeremiah 7:6

Ezekiel 23:4-5

Their names were Oholah the elder and Oholibah her sister. They became mine, and they bore sons and daughters. As for their names, Samaria is Oholah and Jerusalem is Oholibah.

Ezekiel 23:39

For when they had slaughtered their children for their idols, they entered my sanctuary on the same day to profane it. Then they did within my house.

But they, righteous men, will judge them with the judgment of adulteresses and with the judgment of women who shed blood, because they are adulteresses and blood is on their hands.

Hosea 1:2

When Jehovah first spoke through Hosea, Jehovah said to Hosea, Go and marry an adulterous wife and have children with her for the land commits flagrant adultery. They have abandoned Jehovah.

Hosea 3:1

Jehovah said to me: Go again and love a woman beloved by her friend. Love an adulteress, even as Jehovah loves the children of Israel. Though they turn to other gods, and love cakes of raisins for feasts.

Hosea 4:2

They do nothing but swear, deceive, kill, steal and commit adultery! There is violence and bloodshed in the land.

Micah 3:10

They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with immorality.

Luke 13:34

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets! You stone those sent to you. How often I would have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her own brood under her wings. But you would not have it!
