Sacrifices At Appointed Times

1 Thus sayeth the LORD God: the door of the innermore court toward the East shall be shut the six working days: but in the Sabbath and in the day of the new Moon, it shall be opened.

1 ‘Thus says the Lord (a)God, “The (A)gate of the (B)inner court facing east shall be (C)shut the six (D)working days; but it shall be opened on the (E)sabbath day and opened on the day of the (F)new moon.

1 Thus saith the Lord GOD; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened.

1 “This is what the Lord God says: The gate of the inner court that faces east must be closed during the six days of work, but it will be opened on the Sabbath day(A) and opened on the day of the New Moon.

1 "This is what the Lord GOD says: "The inner, east-facing courtyard is to remain shut during the six working days of the week, but on the Sabbath day it is to be opened, as well as on the day of the New Moon.

2 Then shall the prince come under the door porch, and stand still without by the door check. So the priests shall offer up his burnt and health offerings. And he shall worship at the door post, and go his way forth again: but the door shall no more be shut till the evening.

2 The (G)prince shall enter by way of the porch of the gate from outside and stand by the (H)post of the gate. Then the priests shall provide his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate and then go out; but the gate shall not be (I)shut until the evening.

2 And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate without, and shall stand by the post of the gate, and the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate: then he shall go forth; but the gate shall not be shut until the evening.

2 The prince should enter from the outside by way of the gate’s portico and stand at the doorpost of the gate while the priests sacrifice his burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. He will bow in worship at the threshold of the gate and then depart, but the gate must not be closed until evening.

2 The Regent Prince is to enter through the portico of the gate from outside and is to stand at the doorframe of the gate where the priests are to present the Regent Prince's burnt offerings and peace offerings. Then the Regent Prince is to worship at the threshold of the gate and go out. The gate is not to be closed until evening.

3 On the same manner shall the people of the land also do their worship before the LORD, without this door upon the Sabbaths and new Moons.

3 The (J)people of the land shall also worship at the doorway of that gate before the Lord on the sabbaths and on the (K)new moons.

3 Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the LORD in the sabbaths and in the new moons.

3 The people of the land will also bow in worship before the Lord at the entrance of that gate on the Sabbaths and New Moons.

3 The people who live in the land are to worship at the doorway of the gate on the Sabbaths and New Moons in the LORD's presence.'"

4 This is now the burnt offering, that the prince shall bring unto the LORD upon the Sabbath: six lambs without blemish, and a ram without blemish,

4 The (L)burnt offering which the prince shall offer to the Lord on the sabbath day shall be (M)six lambs without blemish and a ram without blemish;

4 And the burnt offering that the prince shall offer unto the LORD in the sabbath day shall be six lambs without blemish, and a ram without blemish.

4 “The burnt offering that the prince presents to the Lord(B) on the Sabbath day is to be six unblemished lambs(C) and an unblemished ram.

4 ""The burnt offering that the Regent Prince is to present to the LORD on the Sabbath day is to consist of six lambs without defect, a ram without defect,

5 and an Ephah for a meat offering, with the ram. As for the lambs, he may give as many meat offerings to them, as he will, and a Hin of oil to an Ephah.

5 and the (N)grain offering shall be an ephah (b)with the ram, and the grain offering (c)with the lambs (d)as much as he is (O)able to give, and a hin of oil (e)with an ephah.

5 And the meat offering shall be an ephah for a ram, and the meat offering for the lambs as he shall be able to give, and an hin of oil to an ephah.

5 The grain offering will be half a bushel(a) with the ram,(D) and the grain offering with the lambs will be whatever he wants to give, as well as a gallon(b) of oil for every half bushel.

5 a grain offering with the ram consisting of an ephah, a grain offering with the lambs consisting of whatever amount he brings with him, and a hin of oil with each ephah of grain.

6 In the day of the new month, it shall be a young bullock without blemish, six lambs and a ram also without blemish.

6 On the day of the (P)new moon he shall offer a young bull without blemish, also six lambs and a ram, which shall be without blemish.

6 And in the day of the new moon it shall be a young bullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram: they shall be without blemish.

6 On the day of the New Moon, the burnt offering is to be a young, unblemished bull, as well as six lambs and a ram without blemish.

6 Furthermore, each New Moon there is to be a young bull presented without defect, six male lambs, and a ram without defect.

7 With the bullock he shall give an Ephah, and with the ram an Ephah also for a meat offering; but to the lambs, what he may come by. And ever an Hin of oil to an Ephah.

7 And he shall provide a (Q)grain offering, an ephah (f)with the bull and an ephah (g)with the ram, and (h)with the lambs as (i)much as he is (R)able, and a hin of oil (j)with an ephah.

7 And he shall prepare a meat offering, an ephah for a bullock, and an ephah for a ram, and for the lambs according as his hand shall attain unto, and an hin of oil to an ephah.

7 He will provide a grain offering of half a bushel(c) with the bull, half a bushel with the ram, and whatever he can afford with the lambs, together with a gallon(d) of oil for every half bushel.

7 The Regent Prince is to present an ephah of grain along with the bull, an ephah of grain along with the ram, a grain offering consisting of as much as he is able to give and a hin of olive oil with each ephah of grain.

8 When the prince cometh, he shall go under the door porch, and even there depart forth again.

8 When the (S)prince enters, he shall go in by way of the porch of the gate and go out (k)by the same way.

8 And when the prince shall enter, he shall go in by the way of the porch of that gate, and he shall go forth by the way thereof.

8 When the prince enters,(E) he must go in by way of the gate’s portico and go out the same way.

8 ""The Regent Prince is to enter through the portico of the gate and is to leave the same way he came in.

9 But when the people of the land come before the LORD in the high solemn feast, as many as come in by the North door to do worship, shall go out again at the South door. And they that come in at the South door shall go forth again at the North door. There shall none go out at the door where he came in, but shall go forth right over on the other side,

9 But when the people of the land come (T)before the Lord at the appointed feasts, he who enters by way of the north gate to worship shall go out by way of the south gate. And he who enters by way of the south gate shall go out by way of the north gate. (l)No one shall return by way of the gate by which he entered but shall go straight out.

9 But when the people of the land shall come before the LORD in the solemn feasts, he that entereth in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over against it.

9 “When the people of the land come before the Lord at the appointed times,(e)(F) whoever enters by way of the north gate to worship must go out by way of the south gate, and whoever enters by way of the south gate must go out by way of the north gate. No one must return through the gate by which he entered, but must go out by the opposite gate.

9 When the people who live in the land come into the LORD's presence during the festivals, whoever enters through the northern gate is to leave through the southern gate, and whoever enters through the southern gate is to leave through the northern gate. No one is to leave by the same route that he enters, but instead is to go straight out.

10 and the prince shall go in and out among them.

10 When they go in, the prince shall go in (U)among them; and when they go out, (m)he shall go out.

10 And the prince in the midst of them, when they go in, shall go in; and when they go forth, shall go forth.

10 When the people enter, the prince will enter with them, and when they leave, he will leave.

10 The Regent Prince is to enter when they are coming in, and he is to leave when they go out.'"

11 Upon the solemn and high feast days, this shall be the meat offering: an Ephah to a bullock and an Ephah to a ram, and to the lambs: as many as he will, but ever a Hin of oil to an Ephah.

11 “At the (V)festivals and the appointed feasts the (W)grain offering shall be an ephah (n)with a bull and an ephah (o)with a ram, and (p)with the lambs as (q)much as one is able to give, and a hin of oil (r)with an ephah.

11 And in the feasts and in the solemnities the meat offering shall be an ephah to a bullock, and an ephah to a ram, and to the lambs as he is able to give, and an hin of oil to an ephah.

11 At the festivals and appointed times, the grain offering will be half a bushel(f) with the bull, half a bushel with the ram, and whatever he wants to give with the lambs, along with a gallon(g) of oil for every half bushel.

11 ""The grain offering for the festivals and appointed festivals is to include an ephah with a bull, an ephah with a ram, and as much grain with the lambs as the Regent Prince brings with him, along with a hin of oil with each ephah.

12 Now when the prince bringeth a burnt offering or a health offering with a free will unto the LORD, the East door shall be opened unto him, that he may do with his burnt and health offerings, as he doth upon the Sabbath, and when he goeth forth, the door shall be shut after him again.

12 When the prince provides a (X)freewill offering, a burnt offering, or peace offerings as a freewill offering to the Lord, the gate facing east shall be (Y)opened for him. And he shall provide his burnt offering and his peace offerings as he does on the (Z)sabbath day. Then he shall go out, and the gate shall be shut after he goes out.

12 Now when the prince shall prepare a voluntary burnt offering or peace offerings voluntarily unto the LORD, one shall then open him the gate that looketh toward the east, and he shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, as he did on the sabbath day: then he shall go forth; and after his going forth one shall shut the gate.

12 “When the prince makes a freewill offering, whether a burnt offering or a fellowship offering as a freewill offering to the Lord,(G) the gate that faces east must be opened for him. He is to offer his burnt offering or fellowship offering just as he does on the Sabbath day. Then he will go out, and the gate must be closed after he leaves.

12 Whenever the Regent Prince presents a voluntary offering, burnt offering, or peace offering, he is to present it voluntarily to the LORD, and the east-facing gate is to be opened for him. He is to provide his burnt offering and peace offering as he does on the Sabbath. When he leaves, the gate is to be shut behind him.

The Daily Offering

13 He shall daily bring unto the LORD a lamb of a year old without blemish for a burnt offering: this shall he do every morning.

13 “And you shall provide a (AA)lamb a year old without blemish for a burnt offering to the Lord daily; (AB)morning by morning you shall provide it.

13 Thou shalt daily prepare a burnt offering unto the LORD of a lamb of the first year without blemish: thou shalt prepare it every morning.

13 “You must offer an unblemished year-old male lamb as a daily burnt offering to the Lord; you will offer it every morning.(H)

13 He is to present a one year old lamb without defect for a burnt offering to the LORD in the morning every day.

14 And for a meat offering he shall give the sixth part of an Ephah, and the third part of an Hin of oil to mingle with the cakes every morning. Yea this shall be a daily meat offering unto the LORD, for an everlasting ordinance.

14 Also you shall provide a grain offering with it morning by morning, a (AC)sixth of an ephah and a third of a hin of oil to moisten the fine flour, a grain offering to the Lord continually by a perpetual (s)ordinance.

14 And thou shalt prepare a meat offering for it every morning, the sixth part of an ephah, and the third part of an hin of oil, to temper with the fine flour; a meat offering continually by a perpetual ordinance unto the LORD.

14 You must also prepare a grain offering every morning along with it: three quarts,(h) with one-third of a gallon(i) of oil to moisten the fine flour—a grain offering to the Lord. This is a permanent statute to be observed regularly.

14 In addition, he is to present a grain offering with it every morning, consisting of a sixth of an ephah mixed with one third of a hin of oil. This grain offering is to be offered to the LORD as a permanent ordinance.

15 And thus shall the lamb, the meat offering and oil be given every morning, for a daily burnt offering.

15 Thus they shall provide the lamb, the grain offering and the oil, morning by morning, for a (AD)continual burnt offering.”

15 Thus shall they prepare the lamb, and the meat offering, and the oil, every morning for a continual burnt offering.

15 They will offer the lamb, the grain offering, and the oil every morning as a regular burnt offering.

15 They are to present the lamb offering, the grain offering, and the oil every morning as an ongoing burnt offering.'"

Transfer Of Royal Lands

16 "Moreover, thus sayeth the LORD God: If the prince give a gift unto any of his sons, then shall it be his sons' heritage perpetual, that he may possess it.

16 ‘Thus says the Lord God, “If the prince gives a (AE)gift out of his inheritance to any of his sons, it shall belong to his sons; it is their possession by inheritance.

16 Thus saith the Lord GOD; If the prince give a gift unto any of his sons, the inheritance thereof shall be his sons'; it shall be their possession by inheritance.

16 “This is what the Lord God says: If the prince gives a gift to each of his sons as their inheritance, it will belong to his sons. It will become their property by inheritance.

16 "This is what the Lord GOD says: "If the Regent Prince gives a gift to someone, it is to remain with the man's descendants as their own inheritance.

17 But if he will give one of his servants some of his heritage, it shall be his to the free year, and then to return again unto the prince: for his heritage shall be his sons' only.

17 But if he gives a gift from his inheritance to one of his servants, it shall be his until the (AF)year of liberty; then it shall return to the prince. His inheritance shall be only his sons’; it shall belong to them.

17 But if he give a gift of his inheritance to one of his servants, then it shall be his to the year of liberty; after it shall return to the prince: but his inheritance shall be his sons' for them.

17 But if he gives a gift from his inheritance to one of his servants, it will belong to that servant until the year of freedom,(I) when it will revert to the prince. His inheritance belongs only to his sons; it is theirs.

17 But if he gives a gift to any of his servants, it is to belong to the servant until the Year of Release, at which time it is to be returned to the Regent Prince. His inheritance is to belong only to his sons.

18 The prince also shall take none of the people's inheritance, nor put them from their possession: but to his own sons shall he give his possession, that my people be not scattered abroad, but that every man may have his own."

18 The prince shall (AG)not take from the people’s inheritance, (t)(AH)thrusting them out of their possession; he shall give his sons inheritance from his own possession so that My people will not be scattered, anyone from his possession.”’”

18 Moreover the prince shall not take of the people's inheritance by oppression, to thrust them out of their possession; but he shall give his sons inheritance out of his own possession: that my people be not scattered every man from his possession.

18 The prince must not take any of the people’s inheritance, evicting them from their property.(J) He is to provide an inheritance for his sons from his own property, so that none of My people will be displaced from his own property.”

18 The Regent Prince is not to appropriate the nation's inheritance nor take advantage of them by taking their property from them. Instead, he is to provide an inheritance for his sons from his own possessions so that my people will not be separated from their possessions.'"

The Temple Kitchens

19 And he brought me through the entrance at the side of the door to the habitation of the Sanctuary, that belongeth to the priests and stood toward the north, and behold, there was a place upon the west side.

19 Then he brought me through the (AI)entrance, which was at the side of the gate, into the holy chambers for the priests, which faced north; and behold, there was a place at the extreme rear toward the west.

19 After he brought me through the entry, which was at the side of the gate, into the holy chambers of the priests, which looked toward the north: and, behold, there was a place on the two sides westward.

19 Then he brought me through the entrance(K) that was at the side of the gate, into the priests’ holy chambers, which faced north. I saw a place there at the far western end.

19 Then the angel brought me in through an entrance beside the gate into the north-facing chambers dedicated to the priests. As I looked toward the rear of the far western end, I saw a place

20 Then said he unto me, "This is the place, where the priests shall seethe the trespass and sin offerings, and bake the meat offerings: that they need not bear them in to the outward court, and so to unhallow the people."

20 He said to me, “This is the place where the priests shall boil the (AJ)guilt offering and the sin offering and where they shall (AK)bake the grain offering, in order that they may not bring them out into the outer court to transmit holiness to the people.”

20 Then said he unto me, This is the place where the priests shall boil the trespass offering and the sin offering, where they shall bake the meat offering; that they bear them not out into the utter court, to sanctify the people.

20 He said to me, “This is the place where the priests will boil the restitution offering and the sin offering,(L) and where they will bake the grain offering,(M) so that they do not bring them into the outer court and transmit holiness to the people.”

20 about which he said, "This is where the priests will be boiling the guilt and sin offerings and baking the grain offerings so they don't bring them through the outer courtyard, thus diminishing the people's holiness."

21 So he brought me into the utmost court, round about all the four corners. Behold, in every corner of the forecourt, there was yet a little court.

21 Then he brought me out into the outer court and led me across to the four corners of the court; and behold, in every corner of the court there was a small court.

21 Then he brought me forth into the utter court, and caused me to pass by the four corners of the court; and, behold, in every corner of the court there was a court.

21 Next he brought me into the outer court and led me past its four corners. There was a separate court in each of its corners.

21 Then he brought me out to the exterior courtyard and led me across to each of the four corners of the courtyard. There in each corner was an enclosed area set aside,

22 Yea in all the four corners of the court, there was made a little court of forty cubits long, and thirty broad: these four little courts were of one like measure,

22 In the four corners of the court there were enclosed courts, forty cubits long and thirty wide; these four in the corners were (u)the same size.

22 In the four corners of the court there were courts joined of forty cubits long and thirty broad: these four corners were of one measure.

22 In the four corners of the outer court there were enclosed(j) courts, 70 feet(k) long by 52½ feet(l) wide. All four corner areas had the same dimensions.

22 all of them the same size; that is, each was 40 cubits long and 30 cubits wide.

23 and there went a rig-wall round about them all four, under the which there were hearths made round about.

23 There was a row of masonry round about in them, around the four of them, and boiling places were made under the rows round about.

23 And there was a row of building round about in them, round about them four, and it was made with boiling places under the rows round about.

23 There was a stone wall(m) around the inside of them, around the four of them, with ovens built at the base of the walls on all sides.

23 A low wall built of masonry surrounded each courtyard, with boiling places set in rows in the wall.

24 Then said he unto me, "This is the kitchen, where the ministers of the house shall seethe the slain offerings of the people."

24 Then he said to me, “These are the boiling (v)places where the ministers of the house shall boil the sacrifices of the people.”

24 Then said he unto me, These are the places of them that boil, where the ministers of the house shall boil the sacrifice of the people.

24 He said to me: “These are the kitchens where those who minister at the temple will cook the people’s sacrifices.”

24 He told me, "This is where the ministers of the Temple will be preparing the sacrifices that will be presented by the people.
