Jacob Wrestles With God

²⁹ Jacob said: Please tell me your name. The man answered: Why do you ask for my name? Then he blessed Jacob there. ³⁰ So Jacob named the place Peniel, for he said, “I have seen God face to face, yet my life has been preserved.” ³¹ The sun rose as he passed Penuel. He was limping because of his thigh.
