3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.

5 Will the fast I choose be like this:A day for a person to deny himself,to bow his head like a reed, and to spread out sackcloth and ashes?(D)Will you call this a fastand a day acceptable to the Lord?

The Reward For Keeping The Sabbath

13 If you hold your foot back from [the] Sabbath, [from] doing your affairs on {my holy day}, if you call the Sabbath a pleasure, the holy [day] of Yahweh honorable, if you honor him {more than} doing your ways, than finding your affairs and speaking a word,

13 “If because of the sabbath, you (AL)turn your footFrom doing your own pleasure on My holy day,And call the sabbath a (AM)delight, the holy day of the Lord honorable,And honor it, desisting from your (AN)own ways,From seeking your own pleasureAnd (AO)speaking your own word,
