²⁶ I will send the helper from the Father, the Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father to bear witness of me. ²⁷ and you will testify also, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

Luke 24:48

You are witnesses of these things.

John 21:24

This is the disciple that bears witness of these things, and wrote these things. That way we know that his witness is true.

1 John 1:1-2

We have heard that which was from the beginning. We have also seen it with our own eyes. We looked at it and touched it with our hands. It is the Word of life.

They received testimony from those who were eyewitnesses from the beginning. Ministers of God's word delivered it to us.

Acts 1:21-22

Someone must join us as a witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. He must be one of the men who were in our group during the time that the Lord Jesus traveled about with us. This should be from the time John preached his message of baptism until the day Jesus was taken up from us to heaven.
