Israel's Affliction

³⁸ Do not calamities and good things come from the mouth of the Most High? ³⁹ Why should any living mortal, or any man,

⁴⁰ Let us search and put our ways to the test. Let us turn again to Jehovah.

Sin

Micah 7:9

I will bear the indignation of Jehovah, because I have sinned against him. He will plead my cause, and execute judgment for me. He will bring me forth to the light and I will see his righteousness.

Proverbs 19:3

Man ruins his life by his own foolishness. His heart chafes with anger against Jehovah.

Genesis 4:5-7

He did not look with favor on Cain and his offering. So Cain became very angry, and his face was downcast (he had a bad attitude).

Leviticus 26:41

Why should I have anything to do with you? Elisha said to the king of Israel. Go consult the prophets your father and mother consulted. No! Joram king of Israel replied. It is Jehovah who placed us three kings at the mercy of the king of Moab.

2 Kings 6:32

He sent a messenger to get Elisha. Meanwhile Elisha was at home with some elders who were visiting him. Before the messenger arrived, Elisha said to the elders: That murderer is sending someone to kill me! When he gets here, shut the door. Do not let him come in. The king will follow him.

Revelation 16:9
