Eating Blood And Carcasses Prohibited

¹⁰ If Israelites or foreigners eat any blood, I will condemn them and exclude them from the people. ¹¹ For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.’ ¹² That is why I have said to the people of Israel: 'Neither you nor foreigners should ever eat blood.'

Leviticus 8:15
