They will take him from there and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood that he may die. Do not pity him. Purge the blood of the innocent from Israel that it may go well with you.

This means that the people of Israel must take the sacrifices they have been making in the open fields and bring them to Jehovah. In whatever city you live, you may slaughter and eat as much meat as you want from what Jehovah your God has blessed you with. Clean and unclean people may eat it as if they were eating a gazelle or a deer. Never eat the blood. Pour it on the ground like water.

If you find a bird's nest near the road, in a tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs in it. The mother could be sitting on the young or on eggs. Do not take the mother with the young. Let the mother go. You may take the young. Let the mother go. May things go well with you and you may prolong your days.
