1 Take thou Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, - and the sin-bearing bullock, and the two rams, and the basket of unleavened cakes;

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

4 Then said Moses unto the assembly, - This is the thing, which Yahweh hath commanded to be done.

4 And Moses did as the LORD commanded him; and the assembly was gathered together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

4 So Moses did just as the Lord commanded him. When the congregation was assembled at the doorway of the tent of meeting,

Clothing Aaron

5 So Moses brought near Aaron and his sons, - and bathed them with water,

7 Then he clothed Aaron with the tunic, girded him with the band for priests, clothed him with the robe, placed the ephod on him, girded him with the skillfully woven band of the ephod, and bound it on him.

8 and he put the turban upon his head, - and put upon the turban, on the forefront thereof the burnished plate of gold - the holy crown, As Yahweh commanded Moses.

8 And he put the breastplate upon him: also he put in the breastplate the Urim and the Thummim.

8 He then placed the (b)breastpiece on him, and in the (c)breastpiece he put (d)(G)the Urim and the Thummim.

Anointing The Tabernacle And Aaron, And Clothing Aaron's Sons

9 And Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the habitation and all that was therein, - and hallowed them;

9 And he put the mitre upon his head; also upon the mitre, even upon his forefront, did he put the golden plate, the holy crown; as the LORD commanded Moses.

9 He also placed the turban on his head, and on the turban, at its front, he placed (H)the golden plate, the holy crown, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

9 He also put the turban(F) on his head and placed the gold medallion, the holy diadem, on the front of the turban, as the Lord had commanded Moses.(G)

9 then he set the turban on his head. On the turban at the front he set the golden plate, the sacred crown that the LORD had commanded.

10 and he sprinkled thereof upon the altar seven times, - and anointed the altar, and all the utensils thereof and the laver and its stand to hallow them

10 And Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was therein, and sanctified them.

The Offerings For Consecration

13 Then was led near the sin-bearing bullock, - and Aaron and his sons leaned their hands upon the head of the sin-bearing bullock,

13 And Moses brought Aaron's sons, and put coats upon them, and girded them with girdles, and put bonnets upon them; as the LORD commanded Moses.

13 (L)Next Moses had Aaron’s sons come near and clothed them with tunics, and girded them with sashes and bound (f)caps on them, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

13 Then Moses presented Aaron’s sons, clothed them with tunics, wrapped sashes around them, and fastened headbands on them, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

13 Then Moses brought Aaron's sons, clothed them with the tunics, girded them with the bands, and bound turbans on them, just as the LORD had commanded him.

14 Then was it slain, and Moses took the blood and put thereof upon the horns of the altar round about, with his finger, and cleansed the altar from sin, - and the remainder of the blood, poured he forth at the base of the altar, and hallowed it putting a propitiatory-covering thereupon.

14 And he brought the bullock for the sin offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the bullock for the sin offering.

14 Then he brought (M)the bull of the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the bull of the sin offering.

14 Then he brought the bull near for the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the bull for the sin offering.

14 Next, he brought the bull for a sin offering. Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the bull's head for a sin offering.

15 And he took all the fat that was on the inwards, and the caul of the liver, and the two kidneys and their fat, - and Moses made a perfume at the altar.

15 And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make reconciliation upon it.

15 Next (g)Moses slaughtered it and took the blood and with his finger (N)put some of it around on the horns of the altar, and purified the altar. Then he poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar and consecrated it, to make atonement for it.

15 Then Moses slaughtered it,(b) took the blood, and applied it with his finger to the horns of the altar on all sides, purifying(K) the altar. He poured out the blood at the base of the altar and consecrated it so that atonement can be made on it.(c)(L)

15 So Moses slaughtered it, took the blood, and applied some of it at the horns of the altar and around it with his fingers, thus purifying the altar. Then he poured the blood at the base of the altar, thereby sanctifying it as a means to make atonement with it.

16 But the bullock itself, and its skin and its flesh and its dung, consumed he with fire, outside the camp, - As Yahweh commanded Moses,

16 And he took all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and Moses burned it upon the altar.

16 He also (O)took all the fat that was on the entrails and the (h)lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys and their fat; and Moses offered it up in smoke on the altar.

16 Moses took all the fat that was on the entrails, the fatty lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys(M) with their fat, and he burned them on the altar.(N)

16 Moses burned on the altar all the fat on the internal organs, the appendage on the liver, the two kidneys, and the fat.

17 Then was brought near the ram for the ascending-sacrifice, - and Aaron and his sons leaned their hands upon the head of the ram;

17 But the bullock, and his hide, his flesh, and his dung, he burnt with fire without the camp; as the LORD commanded Moses.

17 (P)But the bull and its hide and its flesh and its refuse he burned in the fire outside the camp, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

17 He burned up the bull with its hide, flesh, and dung outside the camp,(O) as the Lord had commanded Moses.

17 As to the bull and its fat, skin, and offal, he incinerated them outside the camp, just as the LORD had commanded him.

18 and it was slain, - and Moses dashed h the blood against the altar round about;

18 And he brought the ram for the burnt offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.

18 Then he presented (Q)the ram of the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.

18 Then he presented the ram for the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.

18 Next, he brought the ram for the whole burnt offering. Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram,

19 and the ram itself, was cut up into its pieces, - and Moses made a perfume with the head and with the pieces and with the fat;

19 And he killed it; and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.

19 (i)Moses slaughtered it and sprinkled the blood around on the altar.

20 And he cut the ram into pieces; and Moses burnt the head, and the pieces, and the fat.

20 When he had cut the ram into its pieces, Moses (R)offered up the head and the pieces and the suet in smoke.

20 Moses cut the ram into pieces and burned the head, the pieces, and the suet,(P)

20 As to the ram, he cut it into parts at the joints, burned the head, the internal organs, and the fat,

21 Then was brought near the second ram, the ram of installation, and Aaron and his sons leaned their hands upon the head of the ram;

21 And he washed the inwards and the legs in water; and Moses burnt the whole ram upon the altar: it was a burnt sacrifice for a sweet savour, and an offering made by fire unto the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

21 After he had washed the entrails and the legs with water, Moses (S)offered up the whole ram in smoke on the altar. It was a burnt offering for a soothing aroma; it was an offering by fire to the Lord, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

21 but he washed the entrails and shanks with water. He then burned the entire ram on the altar. It was a burnt offering for a pleasing aroma, a fire offering to the Lord as He had commanded Moses.

21 washed the internal organs and the thigh with water, and then burned the entire ram on the altar as a whole burnt offering, a pleasing aroma of an offering made by fire to the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded him.

22 and it was slain, and Moses took of the blood thereof, and put upon the tip of Aaron's right ear, - and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.

22 And he brought the other ram, the ram of consecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.

22 Then he presented the second ram, (T)the ram of (j)ordination, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.

22 Next he presented the second ram, the ram of ordination,(Q) and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.

22 Moses brought the ram that is, the second of the rams for consecration. Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.

23 Then were brought near the sons of Aaron, and Moses put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumb of their right hand, and upon the great toe of their right foot, - and Moses dashed the blood against the altar round about.

23 And he slew it; and Moses took of the blood of it, and put it upon the tip of Aaron's right ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.

23 (k)Moses slaughtered it and took some of its blood and (U)put it on the lobe of Aaron’s right ear, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.

23 Moses slaughtered it,(e) took some of its blood, and put it on Aaron’s right earlobe, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.(R)

23 Moses then slaughtered it, took some of its blood, and put it on Aaron's right earlobe, right thumb, and right great toe.

24 And he brought Aaron's sons, and Moses put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and upon the great toes of their right feet: and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.

24 He also had Aaron’s sons come near; and Moses put some of the blood on the lobe of their right ear, and on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot. Moses then (V)sprinkled the rest of the blood around on the altar.

24 Moses also presented Aaron’s sons and put some of the blood on their right earlobes, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. Then Moses sprinkled the blood on all sides of the altar.

24 Then Moses brought Aaron's sons, took some of the ram's blood, put it on their right earlobes, on their right thumbs, and on their right great toes, and then poured the blood on the altar and all around it.

25 and out of the basket of unleavened-cakes that was before Yahweh, took he one round unleavened-cake and one round oil-cake, and one wafer, and put them upon the fat portions, and upon the right shoulder;

25 And he took the fat, and the rump, and all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and the right shoulder:

25 He took the fat, and the fat tail, and all the fat that was on the entrails, and the (l)lobe of the liver and the two kidneys and their fat and the right thigh.

25 He took the fat—the fat tail,(S) all the fat that was on the entrails, the fatty lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys with their fat—as well as the right thigh.

25 Then he took the fat from the tail, all the fat on the internal organs, the appendage of the liver, the two kidneys with the fat, and the right thigh.

26 and placed the whole upon the opened palms of Aaron, and upon the opened palms of his sons, - and waved them as a wave-offering, before Yahweh.

26 And out of the basket of unleavened bread, that was before the LORD, he took one unleavened cake, and a cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, and put them on the fat, and upon the right shoulder:

26 (W)From the basket of unleavened bread that was before the Lord, he took one unleavened cake and one cake of bread mixed with oil and one wafer, and placed them on the portions of fat and on the right thigh.

26 From the basket of unleavened bread that was before the Lord he took one cake of unleavened bread, one cake of bread made with oil, and one wafer, and placed them on the fat portions and the right thigh.(T)

26 From the basket of unleavened bread that is in the LORD'S presence he took one piece of unleavened bread, one cake spread with olive oil, and one wafer, which he placed over the fat and the right thigh.

27 And Moses took them from off their opened palms, and made a perfume at the altar upon the ascending-sacrifice, - an installation, they were for a satisfying odour, an altar-flame, it was unto Yahweh.

27 And he put all upon Aaron's hands, and upon his sons' hands, and waved them for a wave offering before the LORD.

27 He then (X)put all these on the hands of Aaron and on the hands of his sons and presented them as a wave offering before the Lord.

27 He put all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons and waved them before the Lord as a presentation offering.

27 He put all of these things in the hands of Aaron and his sons, and they all waved them in a raised offering to the LORD.

28 And Moses took the breast, and waved it as a wave-offering, before Yahweh, - of the ram of installation, unto Moses it belonged, as a portion, As Yahweh commanded Moses.

28 And Moses took them from off their hands, and burnt them on the altar upon the burnt offering: they were consecrations for a sweet savour: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

28 Then Moses (Y)took them from their hands and offered them up in smoke on the altar with the burnt offering. They were an ordination offering for (Z)a soothing aroma; it was an offering by fire to the Lord.

28 Then Moses took them from their hands and burned them on the altar with the burnt offering. This was an ordination offering for a pleasing aroma, a fire offering to the Lord.

28 After this, Moses took those things from their hands and burned them on the altar over the whole burnt offering for consecration. They served as a pleasing aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD.

Anointing The Priests And Their Garments

29 And Moses took of the anointing oil and of the blood that was upon the altar, and sprinkled upon Aaron, upon his garments, and upon his sons and upon the garments of his sons with him, - and hallowed Aaron, his garments, and his sons and the garments of his sons with him.

29 And Moses took the breast, and waved it for a wave offering before the LORD: for of the ram of consecration it was Moses' part; as the LORD commanded Moses.

29 Moses also took (AA)the breast and presented it for a wave offering before the Lord; it was (AB)Moses’ portion of the ram of ordination, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

29 He also took the breast and waved it before the Lord as a presentation offering; it was Moses’ portion of the ordination ram as the Lord had commanded him.

29 Moses took the breast and waved it as a raised offering in the LORD's presence as the portion that belonged to Moses from the ram of consecration, just as the LORD had commanded him.

30 And Moses said unto Aaron and unto his sons Boil ye the flesh, at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and there, shall ye eat it, and the bread which is in the basket of installation, - as I have been commanded, saying, Aaron and his sons, shall eat it.

30 And Moses took of the anointing oil, and of the blood which was upon the altar, and sprinkled it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon his sons' garments with him; and sanctified Aaron, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons' garments with him.

30 So Moses (AC)took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood which was on the altar and sprinkled it on Aaron, on his garments, on his sons, and on the garments of his sons with him; and he consecrated Aaron, his garments, and his sons, and the garments of his sons with him.

30 Then Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood that was on the altar and sprinkled them on Aaron and his garments, as well as on his sons and their garments. In this way he consecrated Aaron and his garments, as well as his sons and their garments.(U)

30 Moses took some anointing oil and blood that was on the altar and sprinkled it on Aaron, on his clothes, on his sons, and on their clothes, consecrating Aaron, his clothes, his sons, and their clothes.

31 But, that which is left of the flesh, and of the bread, with fire, shall ye consume.

31 And Moses said unto Aaron and to his sons, Boil the flesh at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and there eat it with the bread that is in the basket of consecrations, as I commanded, saying, Aaron and his sons shall eat it.

31 Then Moses said to Aaron and to his sons, “(AD)Boil the flesh at the doorway of the tent of meeting, and eat it there together with the bread which is in the basket of the ordination offering, just as I commanded, (AE)saying, ‘Aaron and his sons shall eat it.’

31 Moses said to Aaron and his sons, “Boil the meat at the entrance to the tent of meeting and eat it there with the bread that is in the basket for the ordination offering as I commanded:(f) Aaron and his sons are to eat it.(V)

31 Then he told Aaron and his sons, "Boil the meat at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. You may eat it there, along with the bread that is in the basket for consecration, just as I've commanded when I told him, "Aaron and his sons may eat of it,

32 And from the entrance of the tent of meeting, shall ye not go forth for seven days, until the day that filleth up the days of your installation, - because for seven days, will he install you:

32 And that which remaineth of the flesh and of the bread shall ye burn with fire.

32 (AF)The remainder of the flesh and of the bread you shall burn in the fire.

32 You must burn up what remains of the meat and bread.(W)

32 but the leftover meat and bread is to be incinerated.'

33 as hath been done this day, so hath Yahweh commanded to be done, to put a propitiatory-covering over you.

33 And ye shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation in seven days, until the days of your consecration be at an end: for seven days shall he consecrate you.

33 (AG)You shall not go outside the doorway of the tent of meeting for seven days, until the day that the period of your ordination is fulfilled; for he will (m)ordain you through seven days.

33 You must not go outside the entrance to the tent of meeting for seven days, until the time your days of ordination are completed, because it will take seven days to ordain you.(g)

33 Furthermore, you are not to go out past the entrance to the Tent of Meeting until the days of your ordination have been completed, since it will take seven days to ordain you.

34 Even at the entrance of the tent of meeting, shall ye abide day and night for seven days, and shall keep the watch of Yahweh and shall not die, - for, so, am I commanded.

34 As he hath done this day, so the LORD hath commanded to do, to make an atonement for you.

34 The Lord has commanded to do as has been done this day, to make atonement on your behalf.

34 The Lord commanded what has been done today in order to make atonement for you.(X)

34 What has been done today has been commanded by the LORD to make atonement for you.

35 And Aaron and his sons did all the things which Yahweh had commanded through the mediation of Moses.

35 Therefore shall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that ye die not: for so I am commanded.

35 At the doorway of the tent of meeting, moreover, you shall remain day and night for seven days and (AH)keep the charge of the Lord, so that you will not die, for so I have been commanded.”

35 You must remain at the entrance to the tent of meeting day and night for seven days and keep the Lord’s charge(Y) so that you will not die,(Z) for this is what I was commanded.”

35 Stay seven days and nights at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and attend to the service of the LORD, so that you won't die, because this is what I've commanded."
