The Coming Of The Son Of Man

²⁴ Just as the light from lightning shines from one part of the sky to another part of the sky, so the Son of man will be in his day. ²⁵ But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. ²⁶ The days of the Son of man will be like the days of Noah.

Matthew 16:21

From that time forward Jesus made it clear to his disciples how he would have to go to Jerusalem. He told them he would undergo much at the hands of the authorities, including the chief priests and scribes. He let them know he would be put to death. The third day he would come back from the dead.

Luke 9:22

The Son of man must suffer many things, he told them. The elders, chief priests and scribes will reject him and kill him. The third day he will be raised up.

Mark 8:31

Then he taught them that the Son of man must suffer many things. The elders, chief priests, and the scribes will reject him. He will be killed and after three days he will rise from the dead.

1 Samuel 8:7

Jehovah answered: Samuel, do everything they want you to do. I am really the one they have rejected as their king.

Jesus said to them: Have you read the Scriptures, 'The stone the builders rejected has been made the chief cornerstone of the building. This was Jehovah's doing, and it is wonderful in our eyes.' (Isaiah 28:16)

Mark 9:31

He taught his disciples: The Son of man will be handed over to men who will put him to death. After three days he will come back from the dead.

Mark 10:33

When we go to Jerusalem the Son of man will be turned over to the chief priests and the scribes. They will condemn him to death and hand him over to the people of the nations.

Have you not read this Scripture: 'The stone the builders rejected was made the chief corner stone.' (Psalm 118:22, 23)

Luke 18:31

He took the twelve to Jerusalem so that the Son of man will accomplish all the things that are written through the prophets:
