² in their presence he was transfigured, his face shone like the sun, and his clothes turned white as light. ³ There appeared to them Moses and Elijah, who conversed with Jesus. ⁴ So Peter addressed Jesus and said, "Lord, it is a good thing we are here; pray let me put up three tents here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."
