John The Baptist Begins His Ministry

¹ THEN in those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the desert country of Judea, ² and saying, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is nigh. ³ For this is the person spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying, "The voice of one crying aloud in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths strait."

Jesus answered and said to him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
