The Sermon On The Mount: Retaliation

³⁸ "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' ³⁹ But I say to you, do not resist the evildoer, but whoever strikes you on the right cheek, turn the other to him also. ⁴⁰ And the one who wants to go to court with you and take your tunic, {let him have} your outer garment also.

But I Say to You

Contend with Him

1 Corinthians 6:7

Therefore it is already completely a loss for you that you have lawsuits with one another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded?
