Wherein were all four-footed creatures of the earth, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. And a voice came to him, Rise, Peter, kill and eat. But Peter said, In no wise, Lord: for I have never eaten any thing common or unclean. And the voice came to him again, the second time, What God hath purified, call not thou common. This was done thrice, and the vessel was taken up again to heaven. And giving her his hand, and having called the saints and widows, he presented her alive. And it was known through all Joppa, and many believed on the Lord.
