A Prayer For The King

1 To Solomon. O God, thou wilt give thy judgments to the king, and thy justice to the king's son.

1 {A Psalm for Solomon.} Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.

1 A Psalm of Solomon.Give the king (A)Your judgments, O God,And (B)Your righteousness to the king’s son.

1 Solomonic.(A)God, give Your justice to the kingand Your righteousness to the king’s son.(B)

1 God, endow the king with ability to render your justice, and the king's son to render your right decisions.

2 He shall judge thy people in justice, and thy poor in judgment.

2 He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.

2 May he rule your people with right decisions and your oppressed ones with justice.

3 The mountains shall lift up peace to the people, and the hills in justice.

3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.

3 May the mountains bring prosperity(a) to the peopleand the hills, righteousness.(D)

4 He shall judge the poor of the people, and save to the sons of the needy, and he will break in pieces him oppressing.

7 In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.

10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

10 (m)Let the kings of (P)Tarshish and of the (n)(Q)islands bring presents;The kings of (R)Sheba and (S)Seba (T)offer (o)gifts.

10 May the kings of Tarshishand the coasts and islands bring tribute,the kings of Sheba and Seba offer gifts.(K)

16 There shall be diffusion of grain in the earth upon the head of the mountains; its fruit shall shake as Lebanon, and they shall blossom from the city as the grass of the earth.

16 There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.

16 May there be abundance of grain in the earth on top of the mountains;Its fruit will wave like the cedars of (AB)Lebanon;And may those from the city flourish like (AC)vegetation of the earth.

16 May there be plenty of grain in the land;may it wave on the tops of the mountains.May its crops be like Lebanon.May people flourish in the citieslike the grass of the field.(Q)

16 May grain be abundant in the land all the way to the mountain tops; may its fruits flourish like the forests of Lebanon, and may the cities sprout like the grass of the earth.
