1 For the music director; according to the alumoth-labben style; a psalm of David. I will thank the Lord with all my heart! I will tell about all your amazing deeds!

1 For the choir director; on (a)Muth-labben. A Psalm of David.I will give thanks to the Lord with all (A)my heart;I will (B)tell of all Your (b)wonders.

1 {To the chief Musician upon Muthlabben, A Psalm of David.} I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

1 For the choir director: according to Muth-labben.(a) A Davidic psalm.I will thank Yahweh with all my heart;I will declare all Your wonderful works.(A)

1 I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart, I will declare all your wonderful deeds.

2 I will be happy and rejoice in you! I will sing praises to you, O sovereign One!

2 I will be glad and (C)exult in You;I will (D)sing praise to Your name, O (E)Most High.

2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

2 I will rejoice and boast about You;(B)I will sing about Your name, Most High.(C)

2 I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praises to your name, Most High!

3 When my enemies turn back, they trip and are defeated before you.

3 When my enemies turn back,They stumble and (F)perish before You.

3 When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.

3 When my enemies retreat,they stumble and perish before You.(D)

3 When my enemies turn back, they will stumble and perish before you.

4 For you defended my just cause; from your throne you pronounced a just decision.

4 For You have (G)maintained (c)my just cause;You have sat on the throne (d)(H)judging righteously.

4 For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.

4 For You have upheld my just cause;(b)(E)You are seated on Your throne as a righteous judge.(F)

4 For you have brought about justice for me and my cause; you sit on the throne judging righteously.

5 You terrified the nations with your battle cry; you destroyed the wicked; you permanently wiped out all memory of them.

5 You have (I)rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked;You have (J)blotted out their name forever and ever.

5 Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.

5 You have rebuked the nations:(G)You have destroyed the wicked;(H)You have erased their name forever and ever.(I)

5 You rebuked the nations, you destroyed the wicked, you wiped out their name forever and ever.

6 The enemy's cities have been reduced to permanent ruins; you destroyed their cities; all memory of the enemies has perished.

6 (e)The enemy has come to an end in perpetual ruins,And You have uprooted the cities;The very (K)memory of them has perished.

6 O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.

6 The enemy has come to eternal ruin;You have uprooted the cities,and the very memory of them has perished.(J)

6 The enemy has perished, reduced to ruins forever. You uprooted their cities, the very memory of them vanished.

7 But the Lord rules forever; he reigns in a just manner.

7 But the (L)Lord (f)abides forever;He has established His (M)throne for judgment,

7 But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.

7 But the Lord sits enthroned forever;(K)He has established His throne for judgment.(L)

7 But the LORD sits on his throne forever; his throne is established for judgment.

8 He judges the world fairly; he makes just legal decisions for the nations.

8 And He will (N)judge the world in righteousness;He will execute judgment for the peoples with equity.

8 And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.

8 He judges the world with righteousness;He executes judgment on the nations with fairness.(M)

8 He will judge the world righteously and make just decisions for the people.

9 Consequently the Lord provides safety for the oppressed; he provides safety in times of trouble.

9 (g)The Lord also will be a (O)stronghold for the oppressed,A stronghold in times of trouble;

9 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

9 The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,a refuge in times of trouble.(N)

9 The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of distress.

10 Your loyal followers trust in you, for you, Lord, do not abandon those who seek your help.

10 And (h)those who (P)know Your name will put their trust in You,For You, O Lord, have not (Q)forsaken those who seek You.

10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

10 Those who know Your name trust in Youbecause You have not abandonedthose who seek You, Yahweh.(O)

10 Those who know your name will trust you, for you have not forsaken those who seek you, LORD.

11 Sing praises to the Lord, who rules in Zion! Tell the nations what he has done!

11 Sing praises to the Lord, who (R)dwells in Zion;(S)Declare among the peoples His deeds.

11 Sing praises to the LORD, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.

11 Sing to the Lord, who dwells in Zion;(P)proclaim His deeds among the nations.(Q)

11 Sing praises to the LORD who dwells in Zion; declare his mighty deeds among the nations.

12 For the one who takes revenge against murderers took notice of the oppressed; he did not overlook their cry for help

12 For (T)He who (i)requires blood remembers them;He does not forget (U)the cry of the afflicted.

12 When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble.

12 For the One who seeks an accountingfor bloodshed remembers them;(R)He does not forget the cry of the afflicted.(S)

12 As an avenger of blood, he remembers them; he has not forgotten the cry of the afflicted.

13 when they prayed: "Have mercy on me, Lord! See how I am oppressed by those who hate me, O one who can snatch me away from the gates of death!

13 Be gracious to me, O Lord;See my affliction from those (V)who hate me,You who (W)lift me up from the gates of death,

13 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:

13 Be gracious to me, Lord;consider my affliction at the hands of those who hate me.(T)Lift me up from the gates of death,(U)

13 Be gracious to me, LORD, take note of my affliction, because of those who hate me. You snatch me away from the gates of death,

14 Then I will tell about all your praiseworthy acts; in the gates of Daughter Zion I will rejoice because of your deliverance."

14 That I may tell of (X)all Your praises,That in the gates of the daughter of ZionI may (Y)rejoice in Your (j)salvation.

14 That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.

14 so that I may declare all Your praises.I will rejoice in Your salvation(V)within the gates of Daughter Zion.

14 so I may declare everything for which you should be praised in the gates of the daughter of Zion, so I will rejoice in your deliverance.

15 The nations fell into the pit they had made; their feet were caught in the net they had hidden.

15 The nations have sunk down (Z)in the pit which they have made;In the (AA)net which they hid, their own foot has been caught.

15 The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.

15 The nations have fallen into the pit they made;their foot is caught in the net they have concealed.(W)

15 The nations have sunk down into the pit they made, their feet are ensnared in the trap they set.

16 The Lord revealed himself; he accomplished justice; the wicked were ensnared by their own actions. (Higgaion. Selah)

16 The Lord has (AB)made Himself known;He has (AC)executed judgment.In the work of his own hands the wicked is snared. (k)Higgaion (l)Selah.

16 The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

16 The LORD has made himself known, executing judgment. The wicked are ensnared by what their hands have made. Interlude

17 The wicked are turned back and sent to Sheol; this is the destiny of all the nations that ignore God,

17 The wicked will (m)(AD)return to (n)Sheol,Even all the nations who (AE)forget God.

17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

17 The wicked will return to Sheol(Z)all the nations that forget God.(AA)

17 The wicked will turn back to where the dead are all the nations that have forgotten God.

18 for the needy are not permanently ignored, the hopes of the oppressed are not forever dashed.

18 For the (AF)needy will not always be forgotten,Nor the (AG)hope of the afflicted perish forever.

18 For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.

18 For the oppressed will not always be forgotten;the hope of the afflicted(e) will not perish forever.(AB)

18 For he will not always overlook the plight of the poor, nor will the hope of the afflicted perish forever.

19 Rise up, Lord! Don't let men be defiant! May the nations be judged in your presence!

19 (AH)Arise, O Lord, do not let man prevail;Let the nations be (AI)judged before You.

19 Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.

19 Rise up, Lord! Do not let man prevail;let the nations be judged in Your presence.(AC)

19 Rise up, LORD, do not let man prevail! The nations will be judged in your presence.

20 Terrify them, Lord! Let the nations know they are mere mortals! (Selah)

20 Put them (AJ)in fear, O Lord;Let the nations know that they are (AK)but men. Selah.

20 Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.

20 Put terror in them, Lord;(AD)let the nations know they are only men.(AE)Selah
