'Does What Is Right' in the Bible

The LORD continuously does what is right, executing justice for all who are being oppressed.

Blessed are those who keep justice. Blessed is one who does what is right at all times.

They seek Me day after dayand delight to know My ways,like a nation that does what is rightand does not abandon the justice of their God.They ask Me for righteous judgments;they delight in the nearness of God.”

You welcome the one who joyfully does what is right;they remember You in Your ways.But we have sinned, and You were angry.How can we be saved if we remain in our sins?

I will undergo the wrath of the Lord, because of my sin against him; till he takes up my cause and does what is right for me: when he makes me come out into the light, I will see his righteousness;

but in every nation the one who fears him and who does what is right is acceptable to him.

Now if our wrongdoing serves to emphasize more clearly that God does what is right, what should we say about that? Is God being unjust for sending [His] wrath [on the world]? (I am raising a human objection).

as it is written [Psa. 14:1ff; 53:1ff], "No one [always] does what is right; not even one person.

All have turned aside from the right path; they have every one of them become corrupt. There is no one who does what is right--no, not so much as one."

So the man who marries her does what is right, and the man who refrains from doing so does even better.

If you know that He is righteous, you know this as well: Everyone who does what is right has been born of Him. >

Little children, let no one deceive you! The one who does what is right is righteous, just as He is righteous.

My dear friend, do not follow wrong examples, but right ones. He who habitually does what is right is a child of God: he who habitually does what is wrong has not seen God.

The person who is doing wrong should continue to do wrong [if he wants to]; and the person who is [morally] filthy should continue to be [morally] filthy [if he wants to]; and the person who does what is right should continue to do right [if he wants to]; and the person who is living a holy life should continue to live holy [if he wants to]."
