And after they had eaten, Jesus took bread and blessed and brake and gave it to his disciples and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
I say to you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, till the day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.
Go ye and disciple all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Then they, gladly receiving his word, were baptized; and there were added to them that day about three thousand souls. And they continued stedfast in the teaching of the apostles, and the fellowship, and the breaking of bread, and the prayers.
Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened; for our passover is slain for us, even Christ:
Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, And were all baptized unto Moses, read more. in the cloud and in the sea, And all ate the same spiritual meat, And all drank the same spiritual drink (for they drank out of the spiritual rock which followed them; and that rock was Christ) Yet, with the most of them, God was not well-pleased;
Therefore as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye shew forth the Lord's death, till he come.
This is a great mystery; I mean, concerning Christ and the church.
