Acts 1:21-22

Someone must join us as a witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. He must be one of the men who were in our group during the time that the Lord Jesus traveled about with us. This should be from the time John preached his message of baptism until the day Jesus was taken up from us to heaven. One who was with us from the baptism of John, to the day that he was received up from us must become a witness with us of his resurrection.

Acts 13:31

Those who came with him from Galilee to Jerusalem saw him. They are his witnesses to the people.

1 Peter 5:1-3

I exhort the elders among you. I too am an older man and a witness of the sufferings of Christ. I am also a partaker of the glory that will be revealed. Shepherd the flock of God in your care. Acts 8:14-18
