When Jared had lived one hundred and sixty-two years, he fathered Enoch.

All the persons belonging to Jacob who came to Egypt {who were his descendants}, not including the wives of the sons of Jacob [were] sixty-six persons in all.

When Mahalalel had lived sixty-five years, he fathered Jared.

And all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he died.

When Enoch had lived sixty-five years, he fathered Methuselah.

And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.

And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died.

And afterward his brother came out, and his hand grasped the heel of Esau, so his name was called Jacob. And Isaac {was sixty years old} at their birth.
