The sons of Merari; Mahli, and Mushi. And these are the families of the Levites according to their fathers.

So the priests and the Levites hallowed themselves to bring up the ark of Jehovah the God of Israel.
And the children of the Levites bore the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves upon them, as Moses had commanded according to the word of Jehovah.
And David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren, the singers, with instruments of music, lutes, and harps, and cymbals, that they should sound aloud, lifting up the voice with joy.

These likewise cast lots just as their brethren the sons of Aaron before David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief fathers of the priests and Levites, the chief fathers just as the youngest of their brethren.
Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and in the storehouse two and two.
