Even of late my people hath risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse to war.

You who hate the good and love the evil; who pull their skin off them, and their flesh from their bones;

And will cut off the cities of thy land, - and will pull down all thy fortresses;

I will pull up the Asherah poles from among you
and demolish your cities.
